Like most comedians who talk about sex and politics, Amy Schumer is no stranger to controversy. She's been called every name in the book by randos on the Internet and taken on a number of conservative politicians for their stances on gun control.

And, most recently, she lost a few audience members during the Trump portion of her standup routine.

As you probably already know, Schumer recently angered a number of Trump-supporting audience members at her show in Tampa, Florida.

At first, she invited Trump supporter onstage to have a civil dialogue, but attendees continued to boo Schumer's liberal contributions. So, she told all the hecklers to leave — they did.

Oh, and she also referred to Trump as an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster."

In response to the 200 walk-outs, Schumer released the following statement to Vanity Fair

I loved the crowd and my show in Tampa last night! I want to thank the 8400 people who stayed. We had a great time! We have always depended on comedians to make us laugh and tell the truth. I am proud to continue that tradition.

But everyone was still buzzing about the walk-outs in Tampa, so Schumer decided to address the issue once and for all at the start of her show at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. She read aloud an open letter "apologizing" for her misconduct.

The heartfelt letter reads:

Dearest Tampa,

I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?

After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy. Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people—who’ve been tricked into it!

And Tampa, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that he was an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. Shouldn’t have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster! Never again!

And, of course, she added one more burn.

Honestly, I'm so grateful you're all here, and I was grateful for everyone in that audience that night, even the people that left. And I look forward to putting this all behind us in a couple weeks, when Hillary Clinton is our motherfucking president! Thank you to the good people here and in Tampa.
