Regardless of your political affiliation, you can only describe this election cycle as tiresome.
The media circus surrounding both Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton's campaigns has been depressing to follow, at best. So, it was time for the American public to see an interview that really mattered.
Apparently, Funny or Die heard our prayers, because the interview we never knew we needed has finally arrived — presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton on parody talk show Between Two Ferns with Zack Galifianakis.
As always, Ferns got off to an uncomfortable start.
Galifianakis decided to pull an Ellen Degeneres-type prank by jumping out at his interviewee in costume, but he didn't make it far before being tackled. "Not a good idea around the Secret Service," Clinton reminded him.
Then came the hilariously dated and intentionally offensive questions.
"As secretary, how many words per minute could you type?" Galifianakis asked. "And how does President Obama like his coffee? Like himself? Weak?"
But Clinton had her own comebacks.
Galifianakis managed to squeeze in a real question about Clinton's support (or lack thereof) for Obama's trans-pacific partnership deal, asking her if she was "down with TPP." When she responded "no," he informed her she was supposed to say "yeah , you know me... like the hip hop groove."
But Hillz won't be told how to answer.
Of course, there was a Donald Trump commercial break for good measure.
"He paid me in steaks," Galifianakis explained.
And Galifianakis ended the interview as any 'Ferns' fan would expect.
"I really regret doing this," Clinton said.
...We don't HRC.
