For paranoid people like me, attaching photos to emails, texts, facebook, group chats, anything, is very stressful. I check, double, and triple-check the pics I'm uploading, just in case an inappropriate one accidentally slips through.
And my nightmare became a reality for a relative of Shweta and Aashish, when one of their uncles mistakenly uploaded a penis pic to a group chat Aashish's father added them to.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Aashish talked about his uncle's suave attempt at bypassing the horrible upload.
"After it happened, my uncle tried very, very hard to spam the entire conversation with forwards and news articles in the hope that it gets lost in the flood."
"It took my dad at least 30 mins to figure out what had happened, and he immediately went on to delete all the nieces, nephews, and young cousins, including me."
"He thought that this would delete the pic and no one will see it. But…it didn’t."
Shweta wasn't as horrified by the situation as everyone else: she just thought it was pretty damn funny.
Much like the rest of the internet.
Ahh, awkward family drama is so much better when it's not your own family.
