American gymnast Simone Biles is tied with Russian gymnast as the most decorated gymnast of all time. Simone has won four Olympic gold medals, 19 world championships gold medals, and five world all-around gold medals.

At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Simone was part of the "Final Five" alongside Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Aly Raisman, who won gold at the team event. In 2021, Simone struggled with mental health issues at the Tokyo Olympics but left with a silver and bronze medal.

In 2018, Simone revealed that she was a victim of USA gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar, writing, "I am not afraid to tell my story anymore. I too am one of the many survivors that was sexually abused by Larry Nassar."

Simone is one of three siblings — Adria, Ashley, and Tevin — and was adopted by her grandfather Ron Biles, and his second wife, Nellie Cayetano Biles in 2003. Simone first started at gymnastics at the age of 6 and began coaching with Aimee Boorman at 8 years old. She began her career at the age of 14 at the 2011 American Classic, where she placed first on the balance beam and vault and third all-around. Today, she is considered one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.
