Ryan Reynolds Enters Korean Singing Competition In Disguise To Promote 'Deadpool 2'

Actor Ryan Reynolds is doing a heck of a lot to promote Deadpool 2 and if it's any indication as to how funny the movie is going to be, then we're all in for a big, big treat.
He's involved Wolverine, aka, Hugh Jackman in several of them, like the time he crashed the star's hotel room.
And when Disney purchased Marvel, Reynolds was all over that in true Deadpool fashion.
So it shouldn't come as a surprise that the "Reserve Avenger" has an off-the-wall sense of humor and that he would go to some pretty unconventional lengths to promote the upcoming film.
Like participating in a Korean singing competition while wearing a mask, only to surprise judges that he's not some random dude, but Ryan Reynolds. Now the concept of this is hilarious, but we all learned something about Reynolds.
The actor has a legitimately good singing voice. Like, so good that judges and audience members during the performance were really digging the mystery contestant well before he took off his mask.
Just check out the clip from King of Masked Singer and watch the people swaying in their seats and the dropped jaws of judges who were moved by the masked man's rendition of "Tomorrow" from Annie.
Now people expect Reynolds to do a lot of out-of-the-box things for a laugh, but they were simultaneously confused/delighted that he actually decided to go through with performing on the show.
I mean it's totally something Deadpool himself would do, right?
Even those who knew Reynolds was promoting the movie in the region never thought that he'd pull that move.
But he did, and it was amazing, the looks on judges' faces says it all. But there's another reason why seeing Reynolds on the show is such a special treat.
As human beings our tastes and likes tend to be very variegated. I'm into some super niche interests that are completely unrelated to other interests. Like Eurovision and Will Ferrell. So you can imagine my delight when I'm watching the singing competition and in the audience, bam, there's Will. I see one of my favorite sketch comedy actors enjoying Latvian pop stars sing their butts off.
And a bunch of fans of King of Masked Singer who were also big Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds fans were happily shocked to discover the actor was a random participant on the program.
I mean you have to admit, you see this come up on stage singing, "Tomorrow" and the last thing going through your mind is, "yeah, it's Ryan Reynolds under that thing."
Yet he was there.
People are already calling it the hottest mash-up of 2018.
With the added bonus of finding out that Ryan Reynolds is actually a good singer.
That really does seal the deal.
