It looks like Grey's Anatomy has a new resident McDreamy. Season 15 of the ABC series premieres tonight and while Grey Sloan Memorial's halls will be full of familiar faces, viewers will also be introduced to Dr. Nico Kim, played by actor Alex Landi

And not only will Dr. Nico Kim be joining the ranks of hot TV doctors — alongside his co-stars Jesse Williams and Giacomo Gianniotti — he will also be making history as the show's first openly gay surgeon. And according to James Pickens Jr. (better known as Dr. Webber),  he will also have a love interest within the hospital.

"He catches the eye of one of the interns, and it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out," James told PopSugar. O.M.G.

Kim Raver, who's back as Teddy Altman, also dished about the gay romance, adding, "Already at the table reads, we're getting into it. It's just super sweet, and sexy, and amazing, and funny, and awkward. It's everything that new love is. It's gonna be great."

So, is Alex Landi single IRL?

It seems Dr. Kim will be taken pretty early in the season, but what about the half-Korean, half-Italian actor himself? Judging from his Instagram page, it doesn't look like Alex is married or has a significant other in his life but he is big fan of his Grey's predecessor, Sandra Oh aka Dr. Cristina Yang.

"Obviously a big bummer that Sandra Oh did not take home the Emmy," he said in an Instagram video. "Nonetheless, she's done so much for Asian-American talent on-screen and I can not thank her enough. She's paved the way for me, especially on this show, so all the best for her."

Alex is also a martial arts expert.

The 6-foot-1-inch actor traveled to Asia to train with some of the best martial arts teams in the world before taking on his new role, and according to Alex's IMDB page, he hopes his skills help redefine "how the film industry views Asian actors as leading men." Plus, he also trained at the famous Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in NYC. Not too shabby.

Where else have you seen Alex?

While Grey's Anatomy is his first major acting role, you might have spotted Alex on an episode of the CBS series Bull or in the short film, 264 Days. Clearly, he can't wait to make his primetime debut. "Very grateful. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible," he wrote. "Watch me take on the role of Dr. Nico Kim for the Season 15 premiere on Sept 27th 8 p.m. on ABC."

Oh, we'll be watching.
