Trouble on the Shore: Angelina Pivarnick's Arrest, Explained

Of all the people in the Jersey Shore cast, Angelina Pivarnick is the most hot-tempered and has been since the beginning. Known for her loud mouth and quick-to-anger personality, Angelina has had quite a journey with the rest of the cast. Even now, in their "adult" years, Angelina still manages to get upset over things that seem small in comparison to other issues. The most recent seasons of the series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation have shown Angelina going through tough situations.

Angelina has had a tense relationship with her Jersey Shore family. When she married Chris Larangeira in 2019, her co-stars Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, and Deena Cortese made a lighthearted speech that poked fun at the nearly 20 years of friendship they'd had, and Angelina famously did not take too kindly to it. No one laughed, and a major fight ensued. Things with the cast remain up and down, and now, an incident has occurred that led Angelina to be arrested in New Jersey.

TMZ was the first to report that Angelina was detained by authorities. As of right now, there is no new information in regard to what exactly occurred in the incident that led to her arrest, outside of the charges. The story says that Angelina was arrested for "simple assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law, and resisting arrest." Her lawyers, however, say that the situation has been blown way out of proportion and that this is nothing more than a bad reaction to her medication.

Unfortunately, this isn't Angelina's first run-in with the law. In 2010, she was arrested on charges of simple assault at a casino in Atlantic City. Angelina was at the Casbah Night Club at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort for a celebrity wrestling match. She was arrested for allegedly punching a woman who was there that night. Angelina pressed charges against the woman in return, purporting that the woman refused to stop taking pictures of her while she was at the casino.

In August 2023, the police were called the home she shares with her fiancé, Vinny Tortorella. Details about the incident were never released, but it was said that after speaking to the police, she decided not to press charges. Page Six spoke with his lawyer about the incident that night, and she said, “My client and Ms. Pivarnick are still engaged and are still residing together. Mr. Tortorella denies any act of impropriety that would warrant police involvement and denies any act of domestic violence occurred."
