Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Focus on Raising Their Daughter Lea

Although Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are no longer together, their relationship timeline spans four years. The highlight of that timeline, undoubtedly, is the birth of daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper.

Bradley and Lea had a father-daughter date at the New York City premiere of IF, an animated film in which Bradley voices — checks notes — a glass of ice water named Ice. An E! News Instagram reel from the premiere shows Lea excitedly pointing out an image of Ice as she and Bradley walked the purple carpet.

Bradley and Irina started dating in the spring of 2015, around the time they were spotted out and about in New York City, according to People. At that point, Bradley had recently broken up with model Suki Waterhouse, and Irina was fresh out of a relationship with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

That same year, Bradley and Irina vacationed around Italy’s Amalfi Coast and spent quality time together on the Jersey Shore. In 2016, they attended their first public event together in Paris and attended a Beyoncé concert in Los Angeles and a Wimbledon match in London, the magazine adds.

News of Irina’s pregnancy made headlines in November 2016, and in March 2017, she gave birth to Lea, as Us Weekly reported at the time.

“I guess having a child, and having a family of my own — which is a miracle and something I've always dreamt of — has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present,” Bradley told NPR in 2018.

As for Irina, she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2023 that parenthood has made her more confident. “My daughter is a big part of why I started to love myself even more,” she said. “She’ll say, ‘I love Daddy so much, I love Mama so much, I love Nana, I love Babulya’ — who is my mom. Then she goes, ‘And I really love myself.’ And I’m looking at my daughter, and I’m like, ‘Wow, I wasn’t like that at six years old.’”

All good things must come to an end, and in June 2019, People confirmed that Bradley and Irina had ended their relationship after four years. A source later told the magazine that the exes had been “living totally separate lives” before the breakup, with Irina focused on family and Bradley focused on career opportunities.

However, Bradley and Irina seem to have stayed tight in the years since they split. In August 2022, Irina posted Instagram photos of a tropical getaway she and the Oscar winner took, and a year later, she shared a pic of Shirley Bradley relaxing on a kayak.

In her November 2023 cover story in ELLE, Irina talked about her co-parenting relationship with Bradley. “He’s the best father Lea and I could dream of,” she said. “It always works, but it always works because we make it work.”
