Meet Brittany Borges: The Blonde Snake Hunter on Discovery's 'Guardians of the Glades'

Fighting large pythons is a typical day for Florida native Brittany Borges. The Guardians of the Glades star is featured on the new Discovery series, which follows Dusty "The Wildman" Crum and his team as they hunt down Burmese pythons in an attempt to save the Florida Everglades.
The snake hunters battle the treacherous swamps as they fight the enormous snakes whose overpopulation threaten other bird and mammal species. According to Discovery Channel’s press release for the series, the new predator has already decimated more than 90 percent of certain species. “For me, it is more than just hunting pythons. I grew up here. This is my home," Guardian of the Glades' Brittany said in a clip for the six-episode series.
She continued: "The everglades is slowly dying and I don’t like killing pythons, but something has to be done." Battling 15-foot snakes is no easy task. So, who is the blonde Guardian of the Glades girl who has charmed audiences with her fearlessness?
Though she hunts snakes in her spare time, she is a full-time plumber.
While she may be known for her hunting abilities, Brittany does not actually get paid to kill snakes. She helps locate and catch the predators, but reveals she leaves that part of the job up to her fellow team.
“I don’t do that part of the business but you’ll see Tom skinning them but first Dusty [Crum] normally brings them to the weigh station and then he collects and divvies up,” she told Monsters and Critics in a recent interview. Adding, “But I basically just help catch them. I don’t like killing animals. I love animals, I love all God’s creation so them keeping me out of that part of the business is a-okay.”

Who is Brittany Borges’ husband?
In the series, Brittany mentioned that her 8-year marriage came to an end. In an interview with Monsters and Critics, the reality star disclosed a few details surrounding her divorce.
“We owned a business together, me and my ex-husband, and so when he left me, he obviously took the business and I had no idea what to do. I was completely lost,” she told the outlet. She continued, “So I just started finding who I was, finding my way.”
Though she went through a rough breakup, there was something positive that came out of it. Brittany grew up loving the outdoors and after her marriage ended, her mom urged her to contact Dusty who was searching for people to help him hunt pythons.
Now, Brittany confessed she is in a happy relationship. She told Monsters and Critics: “I will say that I have a fiance now and he has helped me every step of the way. So I am engaged. I got engaged back in January.” Congrats, girl!
