‘Selling the Big Easy’ Star Brittany Picolo-Ramos Brings NOLA Charm to HGTV

Meet your next HGTV star! With her new show, Selling the Big Easy, New Orleans’ own Brittany Picolo-Ramos is sure to join the ranks of Property Brothers’ Jonathan and Drew Scott, Love It or List It’s Hilary Farr and David Visentin, and other HGTV fan faves.

Selling the Big Easy is HGTV’s new, New Orleans-based real estate reality show, which premieres with back-to-back episodes on Friday, Sept. 11, starting at 9 p.m. ET.

According to HGTV, the series “follows Brittany and her full-service agency as they help families find the house of their dreams by showing them high-end homes with the right amount of history and charm. She also helps clients stage and sell their homes for top dollar in the city’s vibrant real estate market.”

“With an approachable and effervescent style, Brittany effortlessly guides clients through the buying and selling process while touting the enticing amenities that the Crescent City has to offer,” the network adds.

According to her realtor bio, Brittany is a native New Orleanian who earned a B.A. from the University of New Orleans, majoring in business administration and minoring in business management. She previously worked in the restaurant industry and as “one of the nation’s top salespeople at Sprint.”

Brittany is married to her Selling the Big Easy costar Marco Ramos, with whom she co-owns Godwyn & Stone Real Estate. Marco is also a preacher, a worship leader, a writer, and the founder of Dove of Fire Ministries and The New Orleans Prayer Room, according to the latter organization’s website.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, as HGTV released a sneak peek of Selling the Big Easy, Brittany waxed romantic over Marco on Instagram. “We had so much fun watching the sneak peek last night!!!” she wrote, captioning a photo of the couple.

Brittany continued, "It’s still unreal for me. I can’t believe we’ve been together for 15 years! We met a month before Katrina and we fell in love instantly...we got engaged three months later and married that very next year. Many thought we wouldn’t make it and now we are impacting the world together! Love you @marcoepic.”

Brittany and Marco have a daughter named Sophiana who often pops up on Brittany’s Instagram page and will even appear in a Selling the Big Easy episode in mid-September.

“Being a momma bear to more than just my little girl everyday is second nature to me,” Brittany wrote on Instagram in May. “I look out for my husband, my team, my friends, my clients, and my city, and I’m proud to show them off and protect them all at the same time. It’s import to slow down sometimes and give y’all some insight to who the every-day-Brittany is.”
