What if we told you that you could get paid $14 an hour to do something that most of us already pay to do? Cadbury and Oreo owner Mondelēz International is hiring four chocolate tasters to sample products and make sure they're delicious before they hit the shelves.
Mondelēz, which also owns Milka and Green & Blacks, wrote in a job advertisement posted on LinkedIn and their own website:
“Our Chocolate Tasters are key in helping Mondelēz perfect and launch an entirely new product all over the world by tasting and providing feedback just like our consumers.”
“You will work alongside approximately 11 Chocolate Tasters and a panel leader; sharing opinions and collaborating with others to reach an agreement on taste.”
Each of the roles are part-time, with Mondelēz saying that they don't want tasters to develop “palate fatigue,” though that wouldn't be a problem for most chocolate-lovers. They list essential skills for the job, based at Mondelēz International’s Global Research Centre in Berkshire in the United Kingdom, as:
The posting also states that no experience of chocolate tasting is required to land one of the jobs, as full training will be provided “to develop your taste buds.” You'll also be taught specific vocabulary required to eloquently communicate their opinions in the products.
Successful applicants will also be tasked with some pretty important responsibilities, but we're sure you can handle them. "Our Chocolate Tasters are key in helping Mondelez perfect and launch an entirely new product all over the world by tasting and providing feedback just like our consumers," the post states.
The best thing? The job even comes with benefits:
"In return for your commitment, drive and enthusiasm, we offer an attractive benefits package within a highly successful International business that offers financial rewards and resources, including bonus scheme, contributory pension, life assurance, generous holiday allowance and a flexible benefits programme."
