Candice breaks up with Andrew in 'Love During Lockup.'
As the couple stands in a parking lot, Candice turns to Andrew and says, "It's too much for me to do this right now. It's just giving me too much anxiety to like, be in such a committed relationship so quick when I have so [many] things that I need to do."
Candice's words appear to deeply upset Andrew, evident in his downcast demeanor. The hopeless romantic then asks her, "So, you don't want to be together?"
With a sympathetic gaze, Candice replies, "I'm sorry, I just can't do it right now."
Andrew determined not to give up easily, proposes a compromise: "You don't want to just stay together? I'll give you space, and you can figure well-care out, and then, I'll go home early, and we'll still talk."
Candice, grappling with her inner turmoil, admits, "It's too much for me, like, I'm freaking out inside, and I can identify, like, my triggers and, like, I'm getting triggered."
In a confessional, Andrew reflects on the situation.
"I was expecting her to be happy and relieved and excited to be out of prison, but Candice is just spiraling," he explains to the cameras. "I don't believe it's me; she has trust issues. She has these walls out because of the abuse that she's suffered. I know that she loves me, and I know that she cares about me, but it's just so hard for her right now."
New episodes of Love During Lockup air on Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on WE tv.
