Some fans were simply not happy about the implications of Alexandra's liked tweet, so they spoke out on social media. In response, a fan account wrote, "[I] got to talk to Alexandra and that was really lovely and I was really happy and 100 percent excited about this, but seeing the liked tweet just made me a bit upset... I'm mixed, too, and wouldn't like to make a page about this kind of person."

Alexandra stirred up fans' anger again in October 2023. When she showed up to support her boyfriend's race, she wore a pretty red dress. Fans, though, were worried that this was totally bad luck. One wrote: "Just as you thought we were finally happy to see those red pants never again his girlfriend started to wear red, there goes his podium.”
