Book-to-movie adaptations aren't the easiest and fans will always have a complaint of some sort. The Chronicles of Narnia was no exception, but, in retrospect, the movies left an impact on the fantasy world. After all, they did manage to secure a three-movie series.
All the years later, a quick rewatch of the movie is definitely worth it. However, it will leave fans wondering: What ever happened to the cast after they wrapped on set? Here's a look at where the cast is now.
Georgie Henley — Lucy Pevensie
Georgie Henley's career didn't completely take off after The Chronicles of Narnia series ended. However, she didn't completely disappear from the acting world. The actor continued to pick up a handful of smaller roles throughout the industry.
Most notably, she played Meg Tudor in The Spanish Princess television series. From there, she played Pensy in a handful of The Diplomat episodes and Grace Greenwood in Partygate.
Skandar Keynes — Edmund Pevensie
After Skander Keynes finished filming Narnia, he seemed to disappear from acting altogether. This was strange because he wasn't completely new to the profession ahead of the movie series. Instead, he made his grand entrance into the world of politics during a three-month internship with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
During his education, he studied Arabic, Persian, and Middle Eastern History at Cambridge, so his new job seemed to align well with his non-acting past. After his stint at the UN, he continued to pick up a variety of politically-charged jobs and continues to work as a political adviser.
William Moseley — Peter Pevensie
William Moseley stayed pretty busy following the conclusion of the film series. However, he didn't pick up any major breakthrough roles. Most recently, he played a role in a holiday movie called Christmas in Notting Hill.
James McAvoy — Mr. Tumnus
James McAvoy secured many rules after his time in the fantasy series. The notoriety of his other projects appeared to usurp The Chronicles of Narnia. He played Robbie Turner in Atonement and Conor Ludlow in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby movies.
He even started landing roles with Marvel as Charles Xavier in X-Men. His IMDb page is now pact with an endless resume of television and movie appearances.
Anna Popplewell — Susan Pevensie
The Chronicles of Narnia was Anna Popplewell's first major role, but afterward, she kept herself busy. Immediately after the series, she went on to play Maura Taft in the 2011 Brave New World adaptation. In a different type of role, she appeared in a miniseries based on the video game Halo. She has continued to pursue a career in acting.
Tilda Swinton — The White Witch
Tilda Swinton was another Narnia alum to go onto the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She ended up playing the Ancient One in Avengers: End Game. Additionally, she made repeat appearances in a variety of Wes Anderson films, including Isle of Dogs.
She also made appearances in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and We Need to Talk About Kevin.
Kiran Shah — Ginarrbrik
Fans only got a glimpse of Kiran Shah in the first Narnia movie as he played the White Witch's right-hand man. After exiting the series, though, he went on to stay in the world of nerd-om. He took on roles in The Hobbit and the Star Wars films.
Star Wars was a no-brainer for Kiran who had already made a name for himself in the series.
Liam Neeson — Aslan
Unless you're a huge fan, you may not realize that Liam Neeson was in The Chronicles of Narnia. After all, we never saw his face! Instead, he voiced Aslan, the powerful lion.
Liam went on to star in the fan-favorite action movie Taken. Like Kiran, he became a Star Wars actor, with a brief appearance in Obi Wan-Kenob which carried over to a role in Tales of the Jedi.
Jim Broadbent — Professor Kirke
Jim Broadbent didn't need Narnia to boost his career because he was already a major player in the industry. So, after the movies, he continued to pick up credits on huge movies including Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Paddington. Plus, he lent his voice again, but this time for a Teletubbies character.
