The 'Complete Your Face' Filter on Instagram Is the Perfect Fix for Boredom

As many of us have been working from home (or home more often since we're still limiting our physical interaction with each other), we've needed creative ways to stave off boredom. We've turned to social media to chat with our friends, make new ones, perform activism, and play games so that we can keep ourselves from feeling too shut-in.
Instagram has really upped its game by helping users out with games and fun filters. The platform has a "Complete Your Face" filter now, which has been hilarious and fun way to stay entertained.
What is the 'Complete Your Face' filter?
Instagram has been working hard to bring more fun to the photo app and has allowed people to make their own filters. These can be games (like we see on Facebook Messenger) or regular old photo filters. One user, @manuelgiampaolo decided it would be fun to make a game out of an Instagram filter and he called it "Complete Your Face."
The Complete Your Face filter has two modes: Basic and V2 (really titled "Complete ur face v2") and both are the same game with varying degrees of difficulty. The purpose of this filter is more like a game – where you're trying to literally "complete" your face.
What happens is when the filter is turned on and you hit record, your eyes, nose and mouth start floating around and you're left with a blurry empty face. The goal is to blink your eyes to lock each moving part into the correct location on your face – you know, to complete your face.
If you blink too early, you may have one eye on the side of your face instead of the center. Blink too late and your lips may be near your chin or sideways. The V2 level is the same strategy as the basic level, however your face parts move around much quicker, meaning you have little time to blink to mark the correct spots.
How to get the 'Complete Your Face' filter:
If you want to try this game out yourself, open your Instagram app and head to your Stories. Click your face and then the button to activate the filters to appear. At the very end of the filters, if you scroll to the right, click the last one that's labeled "Browse Effects." Click the magnifying glass icon in the top right and search "complete your face."
Both camera effects that come up are the correct ones – both by @manuelgiampaola – the first "Complete your face" is the basic version where your face parts move around slower. The second option "Complete ur face v2" is the more challenging version.

The game is hilarious because not only are the face parts swirling around and the end result is a funny looking face, but the filter also adds a voice filter. So while we're all laughing at ourselves and the strange locations our eyes and mouth landed, we're also left giggling at the fun voice, too.
