Dave Portnoy has a profile on the doctor's site who helped him with his hair transplant.

On the Hair Dr. website, Dave is brave enough to share photos and a story about his decision to get a hair transplant.

The controversial figure, who has made headlines for sparring with restaurant owners for instance, decided to undergo the procedure to "grow his trademark 'surfer hair'" back.

According to the site, Dave has spoken openly about losing his hair since as far back as 2017, and upon moving forward with surgical regrowth, told his social media followers, “Big news, I had hair transplant surgery today. You’re not going to have that bald spot to kick around anymore.”

He also celebrated his new look on TikTok.

You can still count on Dave Portnoy to be self-deprecating even after his hair transplant.

Although Dave is excited about his hair transplant, he hilariously can still find ways to make fun of his appearance.

In a TikTok where he brags about his hair being worthy of songs being written about it, and even launching 1,000 ships, the star jokes that his belly is getting soft, because he's getting old. And because he eats so much pizza.

Meanwhile, it appears that Dave underwent hair transplant surgery in 2022, posting a TikTok in which he has some fun at his own expense.

"Please ignore the hair. I just had surgery," he captioned the video, going on to compare his curls to painting icon Bob Ross's look. Commenters added he reminded them of Screech and Mark Zuckerberg.

Given his experience and results, Dave, who claims his hair regrowth was in the back, not in the front, ultimately recommends getting a hair transplant to others.

“There is absolutely no reason in today’s society why someone would not seek treatment if they are losing their hair,” Dave says on the hair transplant site. “I feel great about it. I can’t wait for this mane to grow. All I have to say is look out ladies. Grow Pres Grow!”

The site shares more about Dave's specific results, saying, "Approximately two to three weeks after his procedure, the individual hairs in the transplanted grafts will grow and then fall out. Around 12–16 weeks, the new hairs will grow at a rate of about a quarter to a half inch per month."

Our two cents: Thanks Dave, for helping to remove the stigma around hair transplantation.
