Sure, there's a brand-new season of Love Island USA for all of us to binge-watch, but we want to take a trip down memory lane to the show's fourth season.
It's where we met the fabulous new host, actress Sarah Hyland, taking over the villa. And who could forget Deborah "Deb" Chubb and Jesse Bray, the sizzling dynamic duo who lit up the villa from the very first day?!
These two sexy singles clicked right from the start, even leaving the villa as a couple! But did their romance endure beyond the confines of the Love Island USA villa? Keep reading for all the known details about their relationship timeline.
The relationship timeline of 'Love Island USA' couple Deb and Jesse is pretty brief.
Deb and Jesse entered the villa together on Day 1 and almost instantly coupled up. Although they encountered a few bumps along the way, such as exploring connections with other singles, the pair ultimately rekindled their romance. Their strong connection even carried them to the finals, where they finished in third place.
Even though they didn't win, Deb and Jesse left the villa hand-in-hand, ready to conquer the world as a power couple. On Nov. 12, 2022, Deb spoke with E! News and shared an exciting update about their relationship: Jesse had moved from Texas to California to be closer to her!
"He moved in with one of his friends," she explained to the outlet. "He's getting adjusted, and we're all trying to figure out our next career moves. It's hard to see each other all the time, but we're doing good."
However, just three days later, Deb and Jesse announced their split via Deb's Instagram Story. In a statement, she revealed they had mutually decided they were better as friends than as lovers.
"I just wanted to let you all know that Jesse and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways," Deb wrote, per People. "We have decided that we work better as friends and will always have love and respect for each other. We will always cherish our memories and time together as we went through this incredible experience."
She added, "We are so grateful for all of the love and support and hope you will continue to support us in our individual journeys."
Deb then provided a more detailed explanation of the split: "We were hopeful that being closer geographically would help our relationship grow stronger but realized we're better off being friends who will support each other in this next chapter of our lives."
Jesse reposted Deb's comment on his own Instagram Story, writing, "I wanna thank you all for the kind words [and] support through it all. Y'all helped me grow a lot this summer! You guys mean the world to me."
