When President Donald Trump gets his feelings hurt, someone usually has to pay for it. Anyone who was even remotely involved in the Jan. 6 investigations has been on the receiving end of President Trump's wrath. When a bishop from the Washington National Cathedral asked the president to have mercy on immigrants and members of the trans community, he lashed out in a post to Truth Social. "She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart," he wrote while demanding she apologize.

Some of his retaliatory actions will only serve to hurt the American public, while others are actually at times rather amusing. For example, he signed an executive order putting an end to the use of paper straws. We will no longer suffer at the hands, or should we say mouths, of wet mush. Speaking of hilarious, there is a chance he banned the use of the word "felon" in the White House. Gosh, why would someone say "felon" in the White House? Let's get into it.

Did President Trump ban the word felon in the White House?

On Feb. 14, 2025, the @roguesnradvisor X account shared a screenshot from what appears to be a White House memo. Although we cannot confirm its validity, that won't stop us from having a giggle about it. The memo, which was allegedly sent to all staff, said that in light of recent events, until further notice, the president is directing "all staff, operations personnel, cabinet members and White House visitors to stop using the word 'Felon.'"

The replies were like a little gift from Cupid himself. "Happy Felontines Day," replied one person. Another chimed in and said Larry David couldn't have written a better bit. We know Curb Your Enthusiasm already came back once, but isn't this enough of a reason to resurrect it again? Several people questioned whether or not this was real, then they all remembered what timeline we're living in. Up is down and in is out. Everything goes, baby, including the word felon!

Many people think Trump banning the word "felon" is fake news.

Although a community note was added to the original post from X, it wasn't exactly helpful. It included links to official White House remarks, official briefings and statements from the president, and presidential actions, suggesting that because this information isn't included then it's fake. If this directive is real, it is clearly an interoffice communication not meant for the public, ergo it wouldn't be on any public-facing parts of the White House's website.

Looking at other posts from the @roguesnradvisor X account, it could go either way. It's a pretty even mix of goofs, gags, and legitimate information. Regarding the whole felon thing, the account shared information about a $FELON meme coin, which also looks very real. "This morning, D.C. insiders launched $FELON coin as a direct response to Trump — liquidity was locked and it continues to rise! Nothing would irritate Trump more than seeing this coin top his own," said a post from Rogue Wh Snr Advisor.
