Dr. Dre Has Fathered Seven Kids — Here's What You Should Know About Each of Them

You're most likely familiar with Dr. Dre for being a talented rapper, the guy who discovered Eminem, or the creator of high-quality headphones. And although you most likely don't know him as a father yourself, seven other people in this world do, as the rapper has fathered a total of seven children over the years.  

Where are Dr. Dre's kids in 2020? We've done some digging on each of the rapper's seven children.

Dr. Dre fathered his first child when he was only 16 years old with his high school girlfriend Cassandra Green, who was 15 at the time, according to I Love Old School Music. However, Curtis didn't end up meeting his famous father until he was 20 years old, as he was raised by his mother and step-father. 

Curtis is now 37 years old, has made a name for himself as a rapper who goes by Hood Surgeon, and apparently opened his own brick-and-mortar cannabis store in Canada. Overall, it sounds like Curtis is thriving.

Two years after fathering Curtis in 1983, Dre impregnated a woman named Lisa Johnson, who was only 15 years old at the time, according to Very Celeb. She gave birth to Dre's first daughter, La Tanya Danielle, who is now 37 years old. 

According to Theme Fam, La Tanya Danielle also happens to be an aspiring musician, whose stage name is Manaj. In 2013, she created a documentary called Daddy's Shadow Movie which documented trying to become famous in her father's shadow.

Dr. Dre fathered Andre with Jenita Porter back when he was 25 years old in 1988, and two years later, she ended up having to sue Dre for child support. He complied, but only agreed to pay $500 per month to cover child care costs. 

Unfortunately, according to the Los Angeles Times, Andre passed away at age 20 back in 2008, when he overdosed on narcotics in his mother's house.

Marcel was born in 1991 to Dre and his R&B singer ex-fiancé, Michel'le Toussaint, according to Famous Birthdays. His parents were together for a full nine years before parting ways in 1996, but it sounds like it was for the best, as their relationship was apparently quite toxic. It's unknown what Marcel does for a job as he seems to stay under the radar.

Truice was born to Dre and his previous wife, Nicole Young back in 1997, and while he looks absolutely nothing like his father, he apparently admires him beyond belief. Truice is an aspiring music producer, according to I Love Old School Music, so it looks like he'll be carrying on the family legacy.

Truly is Dr. Dre and Nicole's second child, and Dre's second daughter. She is now 19 years old, and according to The Blast, she loves nature, going to concerts with friends, and traveling.

Tyra is Dre's youngest child, and his third daughter with Nicole. She is now 18 years old, and happens to be an aspiring actress. So far, she has appeared in a few episodes in the TV series Take Six, and also produced a short film called Ropes of Silicon, according to her IMDB page. We can't wait to see what she does next.

Dr. Dre has clearly fathered several kids, and overall, it seems as though they're doing well. Hopefully, his recent split with Nicole isn't too difficult for Truice, Truly, and Tyra — it seemed as though they were a tightly knit crew.
