HBO's 'We Are Who We Are' Features Jack Dylan Grazer as a Curious NYC Teen

HBO's ever-expanding library of teen dramas started with the ever-popular Euphoria and is growing with We Are Who We Are, an upcoming dramatic mini-series. The full trailer was just released on Monday, July 27 and according to the network, it delves into "friendship, first love, identity, and immerses the audience in all the messy exhilaration and anguish of being a teenager — a story which could happen anywhere in the world, but in this case, happens in this little slice of America in Italy."

It actor, Jack Dylan Grazer is playing the role of Fraser Wilson. Stay tuned for everything we know regarding the 16-year-old actor, as well as the 14-year-old teenager he plays in HBO's latest and greatest creation.

Fraser Wilson is a 14-year-old boy simply trying to find his place in a totally new town.

We Are Who We Are takes place during the 2016 presidential election, according to Bustle, and it follows Fraser Wilson, a 14-year-old boy from New York City who is uprooted from his home and moved to an army base in Italy by his mother, who is being stationed there as an army officer. At first, he feels like a total outcast and he can't seem to fit in with any of his peers. However, things change when he meets Caitlin. 

Although we don't know exactly what happens between Fraser and Caitlin, the trailer implies they fall in love and eventually experience some level of heartbreak. The director, Luca Guadagnino, who also directed Call Me By Your Name, told Variety it hardly compares to his critically acclaimed 2017 film, other than that it takes place in Italy and explores love and heartbreak in young teenagers.

You most likely recognize 16-year-old Jack Dylan Grazer, the young actor behind Fraser.

While landing a role in an upcoming HBO series is major for 16-year-old Jack Dylan Grazer, you've most likely already seen the actor elsewhere. He played Eddie Kaspbrak in the 2017 horror remake It and It Chapter 2, according to IMDB. He also appeared in Shazam! as Freddy Freeman and played 12-year-old Nic in Beautiful Boy.

Jack grew up in Los Angeles to Angela LaFever, an Instagram influencer with almost 100,000 followers, and Gavin Grazer, who is a well-known Hollywood actor, producer, and director. Growing up in Hollywood, Jack's talent was recognized at an early age and he attributes minor roles in commercials and on TV to his first role in a feature film called Scales: Mermaids Are Real.  

When he isn't acting, Jack enjoys skateboarding, creative writing, directing films with friends, and surfing. He took home the winning title at his school's film festival for the best documentary, which was called "Family is Family," and also outwardly supports "Stomp Out Bullying," a campaign to end hate, racism, and discrimination.

We seriously can't wait to see Jack play the role of Fraser in HBO's We Are Who We Are — knowing the director, it's going to be a tear-jerker.
