Does Hannah New have a husband and kids?

Though it's unclear if Hannah is married, she did reference her "soulmate" in a post from Mother's Day 2024, in which she shared a photo of her and, by all accounts, her child.

In the Instagram and Facebook post, in which she is seen holding a baby, she writes, "I never really share anything this personal on social media because I would describe myself as a mama bear and fiercely protective of my pack … but today I just want to say thank you to this little beautiful being … they have taught me so much about myself, who my inner child is, what is important in life, what we need to hold dear, how to love and so much more!"

The post alludes to a significant other but doesn't reveal that person's gender. "I also want to say a huge thank-you to my amazing soulmate who has held fast on this roller coaster of a ride of parenthood and given us love and growth in so many ways … and most importantly been the other steadfast protector of the pack!"

Since joining Instagram in January 2012, Hannah has never before shared a photo of herself with her offspring until that Mother's Day 2024 post. Even with this post, we don’t know the child’s gender since Hannah uses gender-neutral pronouns in the caption, in addition to hiding the child’s face in the photo.

Based on the Instagram comments from just this one post, Hannah is probably making the correct decision. When one user asked, “What is up with censoring baby faces, they all look the same, like what is the benefit/reason behind it? Can someone please educate my naive a–?” Hannah did educated their naive a–.

The actress responded, “They can’t give consent to be posted on the internet so I want to respect their right to choose to put themselves out there if and when they want to ❤️ But this is not criticising anyone who does post images of their beautiful children … trust me, I’ve been tempted many times … but I want to give my little human the chance to choose when they are old enough 💫 ❤️”

Hannah’s answer is absolutely perfect. A child does not have the right to consent to be on the internet, and a parent, whether they’re an actress or not, has every right to want to share that joy without sharing someone else’s identity.

If you’re frustrated Hannah doesn’t share more of her life on a social media platforms that do not pay her bills, sorry, you’ll just have to enjoy her work on Bridgerton and the new-to-Netflix Starz hit from a decade ago, Black Sails.
