'Holly Slept Over' Is a Comedy With a Seriously Sexy Twist

Looking for a new romantic comedy flick with some bite? You should consider checking out Holly Slept Over, a 2020 film that follows a married couple looking to spice up their sex life.

This sparks something in Noel, who believes it could be the key to salvaging their intimate relationship. 

Things get really intense, however, when Holly makes a surprise visit to Noel and Audra's home. Holly and Audra immediately hit it off again since they were roommates, but Noel's friend Pete (Ron Livingston) has a suggestion: invite Holly for a threesome with his wife. 

Thus begins the drama, which involves trying to convince Holly to join Audra and Noel for some much-needed spice. 

It's intriguing that the movie makes a bold choice to not focus on Holly's thoughts on the matter since she's a third-party to the marriage here, which clearly has several problems as it is. But aside from the sexual tension and the married couples the movie focuses on bickering here and there, Holly Slept Over has a positive message about open and honest communication at its core. It's just couched between a lot of laughs, and if that's what you're looking for, there's plenty to enjoy here. 

In the end, Holly Slept Over is a modest romantic comedy with plenty of twists that should keep most viewers guessing. Will they end up together as Noel desires with a threesome? Or will something wacky and unexpected happen? We won't ruin things for you outright, but keep the premise in mind and see if the movie resonates with you. 

There's a lot going on in the world right now, so we could use a little simplistic narrative and some levity. Even if it comes in the form of a romantic comedy.
