'RHOC' Star Kelly Dodd and Fox News's Rick Leventhal Are About to Get Married

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd is headed to the altar.
The reality show star held her bridal shower on the first weekend of October 2020, organizing a fabulous, albeit not that socially distanced affair with twenty or so close friends. Some of her co-stars, including Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter, were in attendance as well.
Kelly's and Rick Leventhal's wedding will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, less than a year after they got engaged.
Kelly Dodd and Rick Leventhal got engaged in November 2019.
Kelly was first introduced to Rick at a BBQ held at his house in The Hamptons, New York, in the summer of 2019. As the anecdote has it, Ramona Singer served as Kelly's wing-woman — and she did a fantastic job. Kelly and the Senior Correspondent at Fox News hit it off immediately.
The first time Kelly posted about her new beau on Instagram was on Aug. 23, 2019, sharing a selfie they took at the Chiltern Firehouse in London. Thing sped up shortly afterward.
In September 2019, they embarked on a trip to much-coveted travel destinations in Italy like Positano, a cliffside village; Faraglioni, a beautiful island renowned for its breathtaking rock formations; and Ponza, before heading over to bustling metropolises like Amsterdam and New York. The last stop? Orange County, Calif.
The jet-setter couple spent the next few months going back and forth between New York, where Rick is based, and Orange County, Calif., where Kelly resides. Within the same time frame, they also went on brief getaways to places like Pichilingue, Mexico.
They announced their engagement on Nov. 14, 2019. As a previous article by The Daily Dish reveals, Rick popped the big question on a Manhattan rooftop with a breathtaking view. The stars chose the ring together, opting for a dazzling, pear-shaped creation with a surrounding pavé diamond trim by Lana Neiman NYC.
Kelly's and Rick's wedding will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020.
The Daily Dish reveals that Kelly and Rick came up with various solutions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Face masks were specifically made for the occasion, for example.
“We got masks made for 10-10-2020. So, that’s really cool. It says Rick and Kelly [and] 10-10-2020 for everybody to wear ... We just have limited guests ... It’s kind of nice, though. Because it’s intimate," Kelly told The Daily Dish.
Akin to the color scheme of Christine Quinn's wedding captured on the Season 3 finale of Selling Sunset, Kelly and Rick have chosen all-black attire so as to stand out from the crowd of guests encouraged to put together all-white outfits.
"It's my third wedding. It's Rick's third wedding. We thought it would be kind of different to do, we're going to be dressed up in black. And the guests are all going to be wearing white," Kelly told The Daily Dish.
Let's just hope the wedding won't involve faux-pas like the "Drunk Wives Matter" hat Kelly wore to her bridal shower, and that the stars and their guests will don the tailor-made masks, as some photos show they did not at the shower.
Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
