Every so often, we come across two famous people with the same last names and it sends us into a frantic scramble to figure out whether they're related.

We've been through the tizzy with Nicole Wallace and Chris Wallace, who share no relation, and researched whether Dr. Vin Gupta and Sanjay Gupta might be distant cousins (spoiler: they are not).

Are Lili Estefan and Gloria Estefan related?

For once in our long tenure of writing about people who share the same last name but no other familial connection, we were delightfully surprised to learn that Lili and Gloria are indeed family.

Gloria Estefan, Cuban icon and queen of "Conga" is the aunt of model and TV personality Lili Estefan, the titular "flaca" in El Gordo y la Flaca on Univision.

"Very soon the Red Table is getting to paradise Miami!!" Lili recently said in an Instagram video — a throwback to the Estefans' "first visit" to the Smiths — where she's accompanied by the original Red Table Talk's three stars: Jada, Willow, and Gammy, who span three generations.

In Spanish, Lili writes: "Everyone who knows @redtabletalk with my dear @jadapinkettsmith and her family shouldn't miss our version, with @gloriaestefan and @emily_estefan, the series begins next Wednesday, Oct. 7. We hope to see you all on @facebookwatch."

In a "Meet the Estefans" video, Gloria introduces Lili as "my niece — by marriage, not by blood. But at this point, it's by blood, by heart, by brain."

Indeed, the Cuban-born talk show host, who rose to fame as Don Francisco's right-hand model and hosting assistant during 12 years of Sábado Gigante, is the niece of Emilio Estefan, Gloria's husband and famed music producer.

When does 'Red Table Talk: The Estefans' come out?

Like Jada's Red Table Talk, Red Table Talk: The Estefans will also span three generations — with Gloria's daughter, Lili's cousin Emily as the show's third and youngest host.

Gloria describes 25-year-old Emily as "incredibly intelligent, articulate, deep, spiritual, soulful," and "a musical genius," which means a great deal coming from "Turn the Beat Around" icon. She's also confident her daughter "has a lot to offer her fellow millennials," so we cannot wait to tune in.

On Red Table Talk: The Estefans, the "series of conversations on topics affecting the Latinx community," no topic is too taboo. The ladies plan on discussing relationships, love, sexuality, and what it's like to be a Latinx womxn today.

"In the world now, you have the connections but not the time," Lili told NBC about her family's upcoming series. "There's something there that it's not balanced well, and I think of the Red Table Talk as la sobremesa. We're staying there, having those hard conversations."

Red Table Talk: The Estefans will air on Facebook Watch, Oct. 7.
