According to reports, Ivanka Trump isn’t ruling out a return to politics. For the past four years, the eldest daughter of former president Donald Trump has distanced herself from the White House. She and her husband, Jared Kushner, have worked hard to revamp their image by rubbing elbows with A-list celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian and Lauren Sanchez.

What is Ivanka Trump doing now?

Before Ivanka joined her father in the White House as a senior advisor, she was once most well-known for her clothing line. However, toward the end of Donald’s 2017–2021 presidential run, her once-pristine image was tarnished by several Trump administration scandals. This included fraud causes, impeachments, and the Capitol attack.

After Donald announced his third presidential run in November 2022, she released a statement. In it, she made it clear that politics was in her past.

“I love my father very much,” she said. “This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

After leaving politics, she and Jared relocated to Miami and attempted to reintegrate back into high society life. One of the A-list celebrities who welcomed her back with open arms was Kim Kardashian. She was photographed at Kim Kardashian’s birthday party with Lauren Sanchez, the partner of Jeff Bezos.

Is Ivanka Trump returning to politics?

Despite keeping distance from her father for the past four years, there are reports that Ivanka is warming up to the idea of helping with her father’s 2024 presidential campaign.

“[She’s] privately not ruling out having some sort of role,” a source told Puck. “She’s not like ‘Hell no’ anymore.”

While it’s not clear what that role could entail, the former first daughter is said to be “quietly surveying members of her inner circle about when it might make sense to reengage with the campaign."

She's also apparently considering if she will take another job in the administration if Trump wins the upcoming election. The source continued: “After a long-standing position of ruling it out, she’s more open to it. It’s getting more real, it’s revving up.”

Could a change of heart be in the works? The idea of mixing family and politics remains to be seen. However, if she does decide to return, it's unlikely that her husband will join her. He has reportedly been busy with his investment firm, Affinity Partners.
