We're getting down to the wire on Season 22 of American Idol, with America's live vote deciding which contestants would make the Top 3 and advance to the finale.
At the end of the May 12 episode, aka "Disney Night," host Ryan Seacrest announces Abi Carter, Will Moseley, and Jack Blocker as the three finalists competing for $250,000 and a recording contract with Hollywood Records.
As anticipation builds for the thrilling finale, let's take some time to learn more about one of the remaining singers: Jack Blocker. First off, is he married? If so, who is his wife? Here's everything we know so far.
Who is 'American Idol' contestant Jack Blocker's wife?
On June 5, 2021, Jack Blocker, a 25-year-old self-taught singer, tied the knot with his wife Georgia. The couple has been together since their teenage years, having met at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas. They got engaged in late November 2020.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Georgia graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. The blonde beauty received her Master of Professional Accounting (MPACC), Assurance and Analytics, from UA in May 2021.
Since then, Georgia has held multiple positions. The native Texan began her career as an intern at numerous companies, including Deloitte, before securing a full-time position as a full-time technology risk consulting associate at RSM US LLP in July 2021. Over time, she progressed to the role of senior associate.
As of November 2023, Georgia is an audit and cyber security senior consultant at Elevate, a "minority and women-owned consulting & staffing firm specializing in Cyber Security, IT Compliance, Privacy, and Internal Audit."
Jack noted that Georgia has been by his side through it all.
In late February 2024, Jake spoke with WFAA-TV about his music journey and American Idol audition. He embarked on his musical path at the age of 17, surprising his family with his decision to pursue music seriously.
"He was a really shy kid, like crazy shy," his father, Truman Blocker, told the outlet.
In 2022, Jack and his wife, Georgia, relocated to Nashville to chase his dream of a music career: "She has the full context of the journey," Jack said of Georgia, who has stood by his side through the highs and lows.
As for his Idol audition, Jack was the second to last audition from the Nashville area. Two of the three high-profile judges initially voted against Jack advancing in the competition. However, the production crew demanded a re-vote, leading to him receiving a golden ticket to Hollywood!
Now, as he prepares for the grand finale, the burning question remains: Does Jack Blocker have what it takes to become the next American Idol winner? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: He has a strong support system cheering him on every step of the way!
