Does James Hough Get Involved in a 'Below Deck' Love Triangle?
Updated Nov. 10 2020, 1:00 p.m. ET
Bravo's hit superyacht workplace reality series Below Deck is back for Season 8, and one crew member on My Seanna is set to cause some drama with his co-workers and the guests because of his flirtatious ways.
James Hough is one of the new deckhands on the show, and it's already clear that he knows how to make a splash (pun intended) with the ladies.
In addition to flirting with his fellow crew members, James might get into some trouble for getting too close to the charter guests.
Who is James Hough from Below Deck? Keep reading to find out more about the Brit's past yachting career, and if he forges a boatmance with either Elizabeth Frankini or Francesca Rubi (or both?).
Who is James Hough from 'Below Deck'?
With a charming English accent and a toned physique (that he's already shown off in front of the cameras), James is certainly living up to the flirtatious reputation he admitted to having on Below Deck.
According to his Bravo bio, James grew up in northern England, and he attended private schools. Despite leading a charmed life, James grew disinterested in school, and he began working on boats after he dropped out of college.
The first yacht he worked on was located in Antibes, a city in Southern France. He almost lost his job when he began flirting with the stewardesses on the yacht, which also might be the case on Season 8 of Below Deck.
Aside from documenting his time on yachts online, James is certainly a mama's boy. He frequently posts photos with his mom, Elaine Hough, whom he has referred to as his "bestie."
Based on his Instagram feed, James is also interested in tennis and fitness.
Does James Hough have a girlfriend?
It does not appear as if the Below Deck cast member is currently in a relationship, but he will potentially be involved in a complicated boatmance or two.
The teaser trailer for Season 8 revealed that James would cozy up to stewardess Elizabeth Frankini in the My Seanna hot tub.
"He's a bit of a troublemaker. I kind of like that," Elizabeth says about James.
Meanwhile, chief stew Francesca Rubi has been leaving some flirty comments all over James' Instagram posts.
James does still follow both of these ladies on Instagram, so there is hope that they all left the show on good terms.
He will also cause a bit of an issue among the first charter guests, who argue over which one had the hots for James first.
But James' flirty ways could cause some issues between him and his superior, bosun Eddie Lucas.
As viewers will remember, lead deckhand Avery Russell departed from both My Seanna and the show during the first episode to be with his ailing grandma. During that episode, Eddie remarked how green the other deckhand, Shane Coopersmith, was in his yachting career.
Eddie, therefore, really has to depend on James at the beginning of the charter season. Viewers will have to tune in to find out whether James will step up, or if he'll focus his attention on the women on board instead.
Below Deck airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. You can follow James on Instagram here.
