Within two years, Jasmine Ellis Cooper’s life has changed in more ways than one. In 2023, Jasmine and her husband, Silas Cooper, joined the Bravo show Summer House Martha’s Vineyard shortly after getting married in July 2022. Then, in November 2023, they announced their pregnancy and welcomed their son, Silas “Si” Geplay Cooper Jr., on Feb. 22, 2024.

In July 2023, Jasmine shared on Instagram that Silas, an Army officer, was deployed and sent overseas during their son’s birth.

Jasmine confirmed to Distractify that the season will show details of her pregnancy, including how she told the group and “how it affected [the way] I vacation.” And while she couldn’t give too much away, Jasmine told us she didn’t let a baby bump get in the way of her being “outside” last summer.

“We definitely have a lot of fun. No fun was missed out on from this one,” she said. “Especially after last summer.”

Jasmine stressed the importance of finding “balance” in her multiple roles.

As Jasmine continues adding more roles to her life, she has no plans to drop any of them anytime soon. While she’s fully tapped into being a businesswoman, wife, and new mom, she stated she’s never too busy or tired to spend much-needed time with her friends.

“I will always continue that no matter how my roles change,” Jasmine told us of keeping fun summers in her life.“No matter what I have going on in life, I will always come back and have fun with my friends because you need balance.”

Although the party isn’t stopping anytime soon, Jasmine enjoys getting to know baby Si and staying connected with her husband via video calls. However, like many moms, Jasmine struggles to stick to a sleep schedule with an newborn in the house.

“Motherhood has been really amazing; getting to learn this person that was made out of love,” she said. “And he learned me [as well]. But you know, this baby keeps me up at night. It's not the easiest, that's for sure. But it is very rewarding. As cliche as that sounds.”

Jasmine also mentioned how her son keeping her up at night makes being his mom “worth it” and gushed about how “cute” he is. And while she hasn’t shown the world his face (yet), we’re agreeing in advance!

Summer House Martha’s Vineyard airs new episodes on Bravo on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST. It also streams on Peacock.
