The inaugural season of Bravo's hit reality series The Valley introduces viewers to a group of five couples diving headfirst into the world of adulting. One of the lovebird pairs is Janet and Jason Caperna, who tied the knot in 2022 and are now officially in their #ParentEra.
But wait, who exactly are the Capernas? While we're familiar with Janet's journey from executive assistant to co-host of Scheana Shay's podcast Scheananigans, what about Jason? What does he do for a living? Here's what we know about his job!
What is 'The Valley' star Jason Caperna's job?
According to his LinkedIn profile, Jason is a partner with Acumen Law, LLP in Glendale, Calif., where he's worked since November 2012. Prior to this position, Jason served as an attorney at Lister, Martin & Thompson, LLP, and Glancy, Binkow & Goldberg, LLP.
Before delving into law, Jason graduated from Boston College in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in political science. He then pursued his legal education, earning his law degree in 2009 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
Jason and Janet believe 'The Valley' has strengthened their marriage.
In May 2024, Jason and Janet Caperna sat down with The Knot and gushed about their love story. The longtime couple also boldly claimed that, despite the drama, The Valley has strengthened their marriage.
"Our marriage is healthier and stronger than it was before we started filming," Jason told the outlet. "Our communication has improved tremendously since doing the show. I don't think there's an issue we can't talk through at this point."
For her part, Janet pointed out that being on camera forced them to discuss experiences they might not have talked about before being on TV. She explained, "On a reality show, you're examining your life, and your friends' lives, and asking questions about things that you might ignore normally."
"In a way, it brought us closer together," she quipped, adding, "I'm grateful that he's my husband, so I don't have to pay his hourly lawyer rate for it."
In September 2021, Jason and Janet got engaged! Then, on June 12, 2022 — coincidentally, Janet's grandparents' would-be 73rd wedding anniversary — the pair exchanged vows at Janet's aunt and uncle's house in Los Feliz, Calif. Just a few weeks later, the newlyweds set off to Moorea, Tahiti, for a second wedding ceremony on June 26.
On Dec. 8, 2023, Jason and Janet welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.
