Joey King Has Moved on From Her 'Kissing Booth 2' Co-Star Jacob Elordi

Though she's only 20 years old, Joey King has been gracing both the small and big screen for more than a decade. After lending her voice to the likes of Horton Hears a Who and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Joey's break was as Selena Gomez's on-screen sister in the 2010 family-friendly comedy Ramona and Beezus.

These days, she's best known for playing convicted killer Gypsy Blanchard in the Hulu original series The Act, and for her role as Elle Evans in the Netflix film The Kissing Booth.

When The Kissing Booth premiered on the streaming service in 2018, fans went crazy over the on-screen chemistry between Joey and co-star Jacob Elordi. It was no surprise then that the two dated for more than a year, and they splashed their romance all over their respective Instagram pages. Following their split, Joey dated another co-star, while Jacob was linked to Zendaya Coleman.

Though Elle is navigating her relationship with Noah (Jacob Elordi) in The Kissing Booth 2, things are different for Joey King's love life off-screen. The Emmy-nominated actress first went public with her romance with Steven Piet in September of 2019 when the two were spotted on a date at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Steven worked as a producer for The Act, and he directed two episodes of the miniseries (including the finale). The Chicago native has also worked on the 2015 film Uncle John, and the series' Nightflyers and Channel Zero.

Joey doesn't post photos with Steven frequently on Instagram, but she has sporadically shared some insight into their romance online. 

During quarantine, Joey has posted about having theme nights to keep things fresh for her and her loved ones. While commemorating these special nights, which have included "Tom Hanks Thursday," Formal Friday," and "Santa Saturday," she's shared photos of Steven in various costumes. The last time she posted with her beau was in March of 2020.  

Steven's Instagram account is set to private. 

The Crazy, Stupid, Love actress's only other publicly known relationship was with Jacob Elordi. The couple first met on-set at the beginning of 2017, but they were friends for a few months before things turned romantic. The pair began posting photos of one another on Instagram in the spring of 2017, and they were still together when the film debuted in May of 2018. 

In the fall of 2018, Jacob hinted that he and Joey had broken up when he announced that he would be taking a hiatus from social media.

The Euphoria actor later deleted his Instagram account altogether, and Joey got rid of all of her photos with Jacob. 

They signed on to film the sequel to their romantic comedy after their breakup, and they were soon linked to other people. Rumors about Jacob and Zendaya being an item have been circulating since the summer of 2019. Though they've never directly confirmed the speculation, they were spotted kissing one another in New York City in the winter of 2020.

Joey and Jacob subtly addressed their breakup while doing press for The Kissing Booth 2. 

She opened up about the pressures of dating in the public eye to Entertainment Tonight, and how people wanted clarity on her breakup from Jacob when it first happened.

"In this world, everyone wants to know your business and what you're doing. And I think it's very interesting when you go through things and people kind of feel like they're owed an explanation, but I understand," the actress shared.

Though doing a press tour with an ex sounds awkward, Jacob and Joey have at least moved on since they ended their relationship.
