Following His Arrest, Rumors Are Swirling About Justin Timberlake's Marriage

The online conversation has not been good for Justin Timberlake as of late. The singer was arrested in mid-June 2024 for driving while intoxicated, and now that he's been released, rumors are swirling about the state of his marriage to actress Jessica Biel.

Justin and Jessica have been married since October 2012, and reports lately have suggested that the marriage might be rocky. Here's what we know about whether the two of them are getting a divorce, and why the rumors seem to be everywhere.

There is no evidence that Justin and Jessica are getting a divorce, but there have been rumors that the two are headed that way for some time now. In January 2024, an insider told Life & Style, “Rumors are swirling that he and Jessica are headed for a split. Though they do love each other, all of the couples therapy they’ve undergone simply isn’t fixing some of their underlying issues."

The insider pointed out that the couple had sold their Manhattan penthouse, and had also put their home in Los Angeles on the market.

This isn't the first time the two have faced rocky waters. Justin faced accusations of cheating back in 2010, and in 2019, he publicly apologized after photos of him with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright surfaced in which the two of them are holding hands.

In May 2024, Jessica appeared on The View and discussed their marriage, describing it as a "work in progress."

“It’s always a work in progress,” she said. “It’s constantly trying to find the balance, trying to find the time we can connect.”

Jessica said this as Justin was launching his latest world tour. “Thank goodness for Zoom and FaceTime! For traveling families — for everybody, really — but for parents who are gone a lot, that’s been really helpful," she added.

The rumors that the two of them have split really are just rumors, at least for now. Jessica has joined Justin on the road for several of his tour dates along with their two kids, Phineas and Silas. In fact, she was even spotted sipping a drink while enjoying her hubby's performance at Madison Square Garden in late June 2024. As she hinted at, though, Jessica is busy with a life of her own, and released a book called A Kids Book About Periods in October 2023.

“Female reproductive health — people’s reproductive health — has just always been interesting to me. Wellness, you know, just all of these things in this space,” she explained on The View.

She added, “It just felt like an important subject to start with to demystify, destigmatize, and really open the conversation and learn more and give parents and young people who are about to experience big changes in their bodies a tool and a resource.”

She added that, even though she only has sons, she feels it's important for them to understand this stuff too. She thinks it's important for “everybody to know about the changes that our family members and loved ones are experiencing, whether you’re experiencing them or not.”
