Let's face it. Rich people are always built differently. When someone has enough money or fame that price is no longer a factor for them, it tends to shift something fundamental in their personality that makes them lean toward all sorts of bizarre behavior and strange habits. The ever-omnipresent Kardashians are the perfect example. The unfathomably wealthy and popular family of socialites have often proven how outlandish they can behave with their ongoing success.
For example, Kim Kardashian once built an entire mini-town in her backyard for her children to play in. This town had corporate brand stores and semi-functional mini-markets with actual food in it. We honestly wouldn't even be surprised if Kim's kids had to spend money in their own backyard, but their weekly allowance is probably an entire college tuition.
As for other Kardashians like Kourtney, she apparently keeps a sample of Travis Barker's blood in a vial. It's meant to be romantic?
Kourney Kardashian has a vial of her husband's blood.
In Season 5, Episode 2 of The Kardashians on Hulu, it was revealed that Kourtney keeps a vial of her husband's blood on her. While preparing to go to the hospital to give birth, she was assisted by Khloé, who was putting together something of a go-bag for when she goes into labor. Apparently, one of the necessary items was her vial of Travis's blood.
It isn't clear when or how Kourtney got it, but she did imply that Travis also had a vial of her blood, much to Khloé's shock.
"It's a real thing of blood?" Khloé asks in the episode. "What was the point?"
"Just to, like, have each other's," Kourtney replies.
This isn't even the first time their blood vials have come up. According to People, Travis shared a photo of the vial with his blood in it in 2021. So yeah, it's safe to say that he has one with Kourtney's blood in it too. You know, to match!
Believe it or not, keeping a loved one's blood on hand isn't necessarily just a rich person thing. Blood vial jewelry is a relatively accessible practice offered by memorial services. Through services like Remain Eternal, folks can purchase necklaces or decorative vials to contain blood samples or ashes of the deceased for as little as $8.
There's a little extra preservation work to be done with blood samples to prevent discoloration. Also, holding blood on your person can be considered a biohazard so it's important to make sure one's vial is secure. But for all intents and purposes, having a sample of blood from your significant other is very much possible. It doesn't make it any less bizarre, but if nothing else, it's within reason that at least one of the Kardashians would be into this sort of thing.
