Is Liz Gillies Married? Checking in on the 'Victorious' Alum Today

Whether you know her as the tough Jade West from Victorious or as the ambitious Fallon Carrington on the Dynasty reboot, actress and singer Elizabeth (aka Liz) Gillies has been entertaining audiences since she began her career at age 12.

But what has she been up to lately? Is she married? Let's check in with the former Nickelodeon star.

Liz began dating musical composer Michael Corcoran in 2012. Though their age gap turned heads (she was 19 and he was 40) — and though they had met on the set of her childhood show (he wrote some music for Victorious) — the two went the distance and got married in August 2020.

The couple's decision to drive an RV from Atlanta to New Jersey for their special day added a unique and memorable chapter to their love story.

Their wedding ceremony was an intimate affair, taking place at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms in New Jersey. Amid the global pandemic, they celebrated with just 10 guests, clearly focusing on love, family, and safety.

In an interview with Vogue, Liz shared that her father played a dual role, walking her down the aisle before officiating the ceremony. "He walked me down the aisle, then quickly switched roles to marry us,” Liz recalls. “It was very sweet! My brother also gave a beautiful reading, which meant a lot to me. On top of that, I had the great privilege of having both my grandmothers there. Although there weren’t many of us, we were surrounded by family. It was everything I could’ve asked for.”

While Liz's wedding wasn't fancy like a lot of other celebrity weddings, that didn't stop her from being happy. "I'm very happy with the way ours turned out. I don't think I would've had it any other way," Liz told the publication. "At the end of the day, it's about you and the person you love. The rest doesn't matter."

Though Dynasty ended in 2022, Liz has been keeping busy, and it seems she's been focusing more on her singing career. In February 2024, she co-hosted and performed at "An Evening with Seth MacFarlane and Liz Gillies" at the Kennedy Center. Among her collaborations with Seth MacFarlane, the two even released a Christmas song in November 2023.

A fan wrote under one of Liz's Instagram posts: "So proud of you! I’m so happy that you’re in your singing phase again. The world has missed your voice!"

Before meeting Elizabeth, Michael was already a well-established figure in the entertainment world. He was a member of Drake Bell's band from around 2003 to 2010, per People, and was part of the band Backhouse Mike, which contributed memorable tracks to Nickelodeon's iCarly. He composed for several Nickelodeon shows, and was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2018 for Best Historical Album and Best Album Notes for his work on Washington Phillips and His Manzarene Dreams.
