The Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps is escaping the drama of the big city with a new house in the Hudson Valley region of the Catskills. Not only is the mid-century home located right on the Hudson River, but it also has the feature of being round.

"Initially I was drawn to the house — It was one of the first houses that I saw upstate, and I never forgot that house. And then I found out round houses are very healthy for you to be in, in terms of feng shui,” she told Home & Design about her new pad.
"And look, animals live in trees, which are round, Indians lived in teepees, Eskimos lived in igloos, so it’s really, historically, a very good vibe and a good feng shui to live in something that’s round as opposed to having angles and corners and being boxed in.”

She continued: "It's really, historically, a very good vibe and a good feng shui to live in something that’s round as opposed to having angles and corners and being boxed in."

The gorgeous new home is set on an acre of riverfront property, and judging from the pics, we can see what the reality star decided to make this mansion home No. 4.

Luann de Lesseps new house caused drama with her kids.

Though Luann is happy to find escape from the hustle and bustle of city life in the new sprawling Catskills mansion, not everyone was happy with the RHONY star’s purchase. At first, Luann wanted to sell her Hamptons home to buy the round real estate.

“Oh yeah, my kids basically didn’t want to leave the Hamptons,” she told Home & Design. “I was ready to make a change. I understand they didn’t want to leave. I had to, obviously, reconsider what was happening and the kids are thrilled that we still have our home in the Hamptons.”

Last summer, Luann’s kids and her ex filed a lawsuit against the Bravo star alleging that she breached a stipulation in their divorce settlement, which stated that she would create a trust “for the benefit of her two children.” In August, Luann confirmed that she had settled the dispute with her kids out of court and the lawsuit was dropped.

Following the incident, Luann “fell off the wagon” and had to return to rehab for the second time. She opened up in an interview with Megyn Kelly last year about her relapse, saying, "I felt that I needed more privacy and a lot of people know where I am and I just needed a fresh start.”

The drama with her new house purchase caused a setback in her recovery.

"I found out about this whole story with the ex-count that I was getting sued in the press. That was devastating. I felt betrayed," she explained. "I felt so hurt by that because I really wanted to move on and I just really wanted to flip this house and get the other one."

How is Luann de Lesseps doing today?

Luann told the former TODAY anchor that she was feeling good since her second rehab stint. "I feel great actually, but every day is a struggle. I take it day by day," she told the former Today Show host. "I have to be on probation. It's good because I can't drink, and really at this point I feel like I'm almost allergic to alcohol ... I'll drink the whole bottle."
