Here’s What’s Coming to Disney Plus in January 2020

You know that age-old expression, “new year, new Disney Plus content”? Well, I’m here to tell you it’s totally true. It is a new year, and there is a bunch of new Disney Plus content for you to enjoy. If your New Year’s resolution was to watch more Disney Plus in 2020, you are absolutely in luck. Here’s a list of everything that’s new to Disney Plus in January 2020.
What’s new to Disney Plus in January 2020?
In short? A lot. Starting as early as Jan. 1, there will be so many titles added to the Disney Plus lineup, including both seasons of The Proud Family (finally!). You’ll also finally be able to stream Holes, the new live-action Aladdin, and Cool Runnings this month.
Other titles coming to Disney Plus on Jan. 1 include America’s National Parks, Austin & Ally, Billy Dilley’s Super-Duper Subterranean Summer, Continent 7: Antarctica, Dog: Impossible, Dr. K’s Exotic Animal ER (Season 8), Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet (Season 7), Dr. T, Lone Star Vet, Drain Alcatraz, Drain the Bermuda Triangle, Drain the Great Lakes, Drain the Ocean: WWII, Drain the Oceans (Season 2), Drain the Sunken Pirate City, Drain the Titanic — Whew! That’s a lot of draining!
There’s also First Class Chefs: Family Style, Hacksaw, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors–Battle of the Bands, Marvel: 75 Years, From Pop to Pulp!, One Strange Rock, Out There with Jack Randall, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja (Seasons 1 and 2), Red Tails, Soy Luna, The Lodge (Seasons 1 and 2), The Super Hero Squad Show, Wild Russia, and Year Million.
And then there are all of the shorts! There are several series of shorts, including Marvel Super Hero Adventures, Muppet Babies Show and Tell, and Vampirina Ghouls Girls Rock! Then there are are a bunch of standalone shorts: El Materdor, Bugged, Rescue Squad Mater, Moon Mater, Spinning, Super Rhino, The Golden Touch, Time Travel Mater, Tokyo Mater, and Unidentified Flying Mater. Lots of Mater-centric content for you. Remember, everything listed so far is just what’s being released on Jan. 1.
On Jan. 2, we’re getting Season 13 of Life Below Zero. On the third, there will be new episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Encore!, Marvel’s Hero Project, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, One Day at Disney, Pick of the Litter, and Forky Asks a Question.
The new Aladdin movie drops on Jan. 8, and then Jan. 10 is another big day for Disney Plus releases. In addition to new eps of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Encore!, Marvel’s Hero Project, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, One Day at Disney, Pick of the Litter, and Forky Asks a Question (again), there will also be a short called Destino, a new SparkShorts short called Loop, and Season 3 of Marvel’s Runaways.
Finally, Jan. 17 will bring us the series premiere of Diary of a Future President. Remember, this is just what’s new to Disney Plus in January 2020 — obviously, this is all in addition to the already extremely extensive Disney Plus lineup. You could spend all of January watching Disney Plus content and still barely scratch the surface of what’s on offer. In fact, I think that’s exactly what I’ll be doing. 2020 is going to be a good year, people.
