Peter Thomas has faced several lawsuits for unpaid rent for his restaurants.
Peter's finances have made headlines since he's been on RHOA and RHOP. In March 2024, the entrepreneur faced a $9 million lawsuit from the landlord from his former Miami restaurants, Bar One Miami Beach and 1 Society. According to RadarOnline's court documents, a Miami judge ruled in favor of DTS DT Retail against Peter for unpaid rent and for failing to open 1 Society.
Peter was reportedly planning to create an “upscale supper club” separate from Bar One, which he opened in Miami in 2019. The business never took off, and the company formed for the restaurant was later dissolved. DTS DT also stated he "breached the lease" for his business by failing to pay back rent between October 2022 and January 2023 and was eventually evicted. In January 2023, DTS DT filed a separate lawsuit stating Peter owed $61,000 in unpaid rent and did not produce Tenant Plans within 30 days of the lease being executed.
Additionally, Peter refused to hand over the keys to 1 Society and was told to vacate the premises and pay back all his debts. So far, Peter hasn't paid anything and denies any wrongdoings involving the case. Still, the court "granted the default judgment" and ruled that Peter and 1 Society pay DTS $9.1 million for unpaid rent and attorney fees. Peter planned to appeal the hefty ruling, stating he was "micromanaged" by the landlord and failed to give him the keys to the space on time.
"I'm going to win," he told RadarOnline. "They'll never see a dime."
The former Bravo star's ruling came several weeks after he was also in the news for being arrested for a DUI in January 2024.
