The reality TV hit Shahs of Sunset has been off the air since 2021. The series followed a group of affluent Persian friends living out their lives in Hollywood. The show blended the classic Bravo drama viewers know and love while also inserting some insight into Persian culture, something most Americans know little to nothing about.

Over the span of nine seasons, the Shahs of Sunset cast ebbed and flowed with the exception of OG cast members Reza Farahan, Golnesa Gharachedaghi, Mike Shouhed, and Mercedes "MJ" Javid, who remained on the series from beginning to end. Some of the former Shahs stars have managed to stay in the public light, while others have focused on their private lives. So, in the years since the series' cancellation, what has the Shahs of Sunset cast been up to?

Since the end of Shahs of Sunset, Destiney Rose has kept busy running her business, Ahhlooo. Ahhloo sells a variety of accessories, from jewelry and purses to smoking accessories. It's clear that Ahhlooo is Destiney's priority, as she has focused more on the brand's social media over her own personal Instagram.

Golnesa Gharachedaghi

Known for her interest in knives and generally being a woman marching to the beat of her own drum, Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi has also kept busy since the series ended. For a few years, she hosted a podcast called Genuinely GG, which focused on subjects featured on Shahs of Sunset. When it comes to business, she has a line of vibrators for women called Intimately GG, and she also recently launched her own cannabis called Wüsah.

Since the end of Shahs of Sunset, Mercedes "MJ" Javid has kept busy as well. In early 2024, she was seen in the cast of Peacock's murder mystery game series The Traitors, but MJ played the game pretty well, and she even made it all the way to the end before a devastating banishment handed down by winners CT Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella. She clearly felt betrayed and let the duo have it during the Traitors reunion special, and she did not hold back.

Mike Shouhed

Fans of the Shahs were certainly upset by the series' cancellation. The reason for the cancellation was attributed to Mike Shouhed's arrest. He was arrested on domestic violence and additional weapons charges, but the charges were all ultimately dropped after he agreed to a two-year diversion program from jail time. His ex-fiancé, Paulina Ben-Cohen, filed a lawsuit against Mike in early 2024 for additional allegations connected to the original case.

Much like his on-again, off-again best friend MJ, Reza Farahan has kept busy on the game side of reality TV. He was seen in the premiere season of the U.S. version of The Traitors, where his time was short-lived. He then went on to join Freevee's The GOAT, a lighthearted competition series that aims to determine which reality TV star is the "greatest of all time." The show's silliness is matched by Reza's intense desire to win.
