A mom shared the Mother's Day portrait her child drew for her, along with a physical trait that most folks would've probably wished was left out of a drawing of themselves.

Valeria (@valiidfz) uploaded the footage to TikTok, where several folks not only expressed how funny/sweet they found his reaction to showing his mom the picture, but how their own kids pick up on their physical traits as well.

"My son drew me for my Mother's Day and he made sure to include my 'little mustache.' I was trying not to laugh," she adds in a text overlay of the video that shows her child proudly displaying the portrait he made of his mother to the camera.

"You have a little mustache like me," she quotes her son in a caption of the post. In the video, after her child unveils the drawing, she immediately says that she "loves it."

"Thank you so much!" she tells her boy. "Is that my smile?" she asks, pointing to the elongated U-shape on her animated face. He confirms that the area of the drawing she's singling out is indeed a grin, and when her finger moves up to the squiggly line above the smile and the open triangle he used to create her nose, she asks what that particular adornment is.

"You have a little mustache just like I do," the boy says, pointing to his upper lip. "Oh, you're right," she says to him, "I love it so much, thank you for drawing me," she tells the boy, not skipping a beat as she goes in for a hug and the video closes out.

Commenters who saw Valeria's video were reminded of other clips featuring children who may've touched on physical traits of their parents they may not necessarily be quick to broadcast to the world: "This reminds me of the video where the little girl drew her mom and she’s like 'is that my hyperpigmentation.'"

Someone else pointed out that he wasn't talking about her "mustache" but rather a person's philtrum, which is the "the vertical groove on the median line of the upper lip," per Merriam-Webster.

The TikToker who mentioned this remarked that they also thought Valeria's son's means of drawing it was actually pretty clever.

"He means your philtrum, and honestly that’s such a creative way to draw it," they said.

Other folks were just impressed with the way she handled the situation: "’I'm still taking notes on how to parent because 'oh you’re right' would have never crossed my mind."

That didn't mean there weren't TikTokers who couldn't detect what they thought was sadness in the woman's voice, writing that while they appreciated her response to her child, that the subtext was all but transparent: "'Ohhh you are right.' I could HEAR the internal cry trying to come out."

As someone else pointed out in the comments section of her video, however, Valeria didn't seem all that shaken up from the inclusion of the mustache in her video, as she ultimately made the drawing her official TikTok profile picture: "She made it her profile picture. Mom of the year."

This isn't the first time a child's picture where they unintentionally (some may add sweetly, too) put their mom on blast. One mom shared a drawing her daughter drew of her that depicted what her job is like.

The image, to many a grown-up mind, may look like a stick figure of a woman whipping around a stripper pole as throngs of people gather around her to hand her dollar bills — all of them are smiling.

However, as mom explained in a follow-up note to the teacher, that's not what she does for a living — she explained that she actually works at the Home Depot and she was telling her daughter how the previous night there were throngs of customers who wanted to purchase snow shovels ahead of the inclement weather season.

Because the item was such a hot commodity due to the time of year, they got down to their last shovel, which resulted in so many folks rushing to the the woman, hoping to buy the item with cash in their hands.

The minds of children can be very innocent and sweet, but sometimes that naivete can result in you being roasted worse than you could have ever imagined.

Have you ever been in that situation? How did you handle it? Did you manage to pull off the same type of kind and deflective "Oooohhh you're right?" that Valeria did? Or did your emotions play a larger part than you probably wouldn't liked in your reaction and how you handled it?
