What is 'The Last of Us Part 2'?

In The Last of Us Part 2, players see the game through the eyes of Ellie, a 14-year-old heroine living in a post-pandemic world that's turned people into zombies from a fungal plague. Players are tasked with either evading or killing the zombies and humans who get in the way in order to protect Ellie. Somehow, Ellie is immune to the infection and may hold the clues needed to find a cure for the fungal zombie plague.

This world takes place five years after the previous The Last of Us game and, through Ellie's perspective, the goal is to make it through the gameplay keeping her safe.

What makes 'The Last of Us Part 2' so popular already?

The first game was highly regarded as not just a great story, but the game itself had amazing visuals, landscapes and interesting tasks to get through. The Last of Us Part 2 is very similar in that regard—with the added storylines that people were already attached to in the first game carrying on in this chapter.

What makes this particular game so interesting is its diverse accessibility features – one of the first of its kind – that allows for easier access to playing by those who are disabled.

"This is a first time we have seen a game where every piece of text on screen had text to speech in it," Steve said to CNN. "Anyone without visual impairment could actually close their eyes and be able to play this game with all the settings turned on. That's how powerful it is."

According to Game Radar, one of the first safes that needs to be opened is inside the market. The safe is behind the first door and the combination comes down to one of the signs on the wall – specifically "the date my good boy got employee of the month – 072013."
