In the great debate regarding best sports movies, a couple of classics always appear on everyone's lists. Obviously Rudy tends to make it into the top five because we love an underdog who never gives up. Speaking of not quitting, Rocky is inevitably thrown into the mix as we can all get behind a fighter with a heart of gold who ultimately cares more about the love of his woman over the love of the match. Then there is almost any baseball movie, the most difficult to narrow down.
How can we be expected to choose a number one movie centered around America's pastime when the possibilities are endless. From The Natural to Field of Dreams, these movies tug at our heartstrings as well as our patriotism. But what about nostalgia? That's when something like The Sandlot enters the chat. Unfortunately one of its stars has fallen recently due to some legal troubles. Can Smalls afford to get himself out of this scrape? Let's take a look at Tom Guiry's net worth.
Tom Guiry's net worth is barely making it to the seventh inning stretch.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Guiry has about $100,000 at his disposal which sadly seems a bit low. His breakout role as Scotty Smalls in 1993's The Sandlot undoubtedly left a mark on elder Millennials who traffic in sentimentality. Some might be surprised to learn that Guiry has been steadily working ever since, with roles in major motion pictures such as U-571, Black Hawk Down, and Mystic River. He even popped into The Revenant as Billy Brother Trapper. Sadly the bear went to someone else.
Tom Guiry
Actor
Net worth: $100,000
Birth date: Oct. 12, 1981
Birth place: Toms River, N.J.
Birth name: Thomas John Guiry
Marriages: Janelle Bloodsworth (m. 2009)

Guiry has also done a pretty standard tour of television shows which includes but is not limited to every actor's favorite, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also dipped into CSI: Miami as well as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Sadly life imitated art for Guiry who has tangled with the real-life law on two occasions. We hate to see it.
Tom Guiry has been arrested twice.
According to CNN, back in August 2013 Guiry was found to be too drunk to board a plane out of Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport which resulted in the actor allegedly head-butting a police officer. The then 31 year-old was quite displeased with airport employees after being told he was not allowed to get on the plane. Hopefully someone was able to say, "Houston, we have a problem."
More than a decade later in June 2024, Guiry was back in the news for allegedly throwing a dumbbell into the windshield of a white Jeep. At least it wasn't a white Ford Bronco. Those cars have seen enough drama. In footage obtained by TMZ, Guiry is seen ringing the doorbell of the Jeep owner's home while holding a knife. It's unclear if he shattered the vehicle's windows before or after pulling a Michael Myers.
When police arrived, Guiry was apparently asking about his wife to which the Jeep owner shouted, "Really? My window's been shattered." Guiry had enough presence of mind to apologize. "That sucks man, I'll pay you back, I'm sorry, I'm gonna get you back," he said. As of the time of this writing he has been "arrested and booked for assault, disorderly conduct and malicious damage," per TMZ.
