Tom Sandoval is making reality TV headlines again — this time on FOX's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. The Vanderpump Rules alum is one of 14 celebrities who are subjecting themselves to a modified version of Special Forces selection training in an attempt to either prove something to themselves or take on a new challenge. Enduring winter warfare conditions is miles away from what Tom is used to.

However, like many of the Special Forces Season 2 cast, Tom has different sides to him beyond what he's known for. One aspect of his career that has gotten overshadowed is his band: Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras. They've developed a fan following while covering some of pop and rock's biggest hits, and they're on tour while Tom's episodes of Special Forces are airing!

Keep reading for what you need to know about Tom's band and information on where you can see them live.

Tom Sandoval conceived The Most Extras with friend Jason Bader "over a few drinks."

In the Special Forces Season 2 premiere, Tom spoke openly about feeling like the whole country hated him after the infamous "Scandoval" affair that made entertainment headlines everywhere. Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras have developed a fan base thanks to the talents and quirks of their seven members.

Jason Bader is the band's co-founder. He and Tom joked about the idea over drinks, according to the website. He not only plays drums but serves as the band's manager.

Tom is the band's lead singer, supported on backing vocals by Maddi Fraser, who appeared on The Voice Season 16 but didn't turn any chairs as she was the next-to-last person to audition. Saxophonist Colin Deas and bassist Mia Davitt also provide vocals, with Colin — who can play more than a half-dozen instruments — also serving as musical director.

The Most Extras roster is rounded out by lead guitarist Kevin Stiphen and trumpeter Macrae Eckelberry.

It's unlikely that Tom will be able to reveal any Special Forces Season 2 spoilers during The Most Extras' tour dates, but perhaps fans will be able to get some non-spoiler insight from him about what it was like to appear on the show. At the very least, going to one of his concerts will give audiences a look at Tom away from the reality TV spotlight.
