We really can't wait to dive back into The Simple Life. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's antics are coming back, thankfully, but we just don't know exactly how the pieces are going to meld together. Well, no one is quite sure yet, but the pair are getting a bit shady about it all. They posted matching Instagram photos and the rumors are slowly starting to spread. It's a perfect time to revisit those little things that made the show so special, like sanasa.

What does "sanasa" mean?

Paris and Nicole loved belting out the word "sanasa" and giggling as they did. However, it was never fully explained where the term came from originally.

It appears to be some sort of nonsensical word that became an inside joke. The first time fans hear it is during Season 1 when the duo is taking a bus ride.

They decide to engage everyone around them and pressure them to join in on a sanasa song. It was only so successful and, to most people, the incident would have been rather embarrassing. For Paris and Nicole, though, it was hilarious.

From there, the pair often used the word, seemingly at random. However, when they were giddy and riled up it was way more common. It was like their own little language.

It went from two young women gleefully screaming a fake word to the pair singing it to each other on Paris's wedding day. The socialite shared the moment with a touching post on Instagram. She captioned it: "The evolution of Sanasa @NicoleRichie Thankful for lifelong friendships."

The pair's friendship is adorable and sanasa is just one symptom. "Paris is somebody that's been in my life since day one. An idea of a true friend is somebody that's going to be there for you through and through," Nicole said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

Will there be a 'The Simple Life' reboot?

According to TMZ, a new show adjacent to The Simple Life was greenlit. However, fans shouldn't expect a duplicate of the show. Sources told the publication that there's a fresh take coming.

In fact, there will even be a new name for the project. Paris and Nicole reportedly have been plotting this show for a while now and finally sold it to a streaming service.

Plenty of platforms wanted the rights to the show, but it isn't clear who won the bidding war. However, insiders said that James Corden's production company, Fulwell 73, will be shooting it.

This should take the edge off for fans who were left wanting more when the show was cancelled in 2007. While the show managed to survive a fallout between Paris and Nicole, there was no way it could last forever.

How this idea took off isn't clear. The pair had that brief falling out in 2005 and by 2014 they weren't fully reunited, but back on good terms. "I haven't spoken to [Paris] in a while, but we are very good friends, and I love her and love her family, and have a lot of respect for her," Nicole said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. Apparently, in the modern world, they're close enough to launch a new show together.
