Although fans had to wait over a year to catch up with The Real Housewives of Dubai ladies, they came in hotter than one of their home country’s gorgeous deserts. Season 2 started with a bang, as the ladies updated fans on what they’ve been up to while bickering over Beyonce.
The season also began with tension between the two “Carolines” of the group — Caroline Brooks and Caroline Stanbury.
Brooks and Stanbury’s relationship was fine in Season 1, but Season 2 proved to be challenging for the longtime friends. Since the new season aired, Brooks has shared where the ladies stand now. However, many of us don’t understand what led to their fallout in the first place.
Here’s what we’ve gathered about Caroline Stanbury and Caroline Brooks’ beef.
What happened between Caroline Stanbury and Caroline Brooks on ‘RHODubai’?
The Real Housewives of Dubai aired its second season on Sunday, June 2, 2024. During the premiere, the cast — Caroline Brooks, Caroline Stanbury, Lesa Milan, Chanel Ayan, Dr. Sara Al Madani, and Season 2 newbie Taleen Marie — debriefed about their night out seeing Beyonce perform at the opening of a Dubai hotel in January 2023.
While discussing the concert, Caroline Stanbury joked that Taleen, Caroline Brooks’ longtime friend, was so inebriated that she fell and exposed her private parts to the group and fellow attendees. The joke didn’t sit well with Brooks, who stood up for Taleen against Stanbury.
Brooks and Stanbury’s issues about the comment continued at Taleen’s party. During the event, Brooks and Taleen indulged in a few drinks, which Stanbury said in a confessional was something she was used to seeing of Brooks.
After confiding to their co-stars about their tension, Sara decided to retire at the ladies’ middle person. She urged Brooks and Stanbury to speak, and they obliged. During their sitdown, Brooks admitted she had been upset with Stanbury before Taleen came around the group. She also denied convincing Taleen not to like Stanbury and asked Taleen to confirm as much. The newbie, however, just wanted her vagina to be left out of their drama.
Caroline Brooks admitted there was “a lot more” between her and Stanbury that fans haven’t seen.
While Brooks and Stanbury eventually sat down to try and resolve their issues, they didn’t have much luck. Stanbury said in a confessional that she felt like the conversation went nowhere and compared a drunken Brooks to “Jabba the Hut” and said she was “on one.” Eventually, Caroline left the party with her husband, Sergio Carallo, and Brooks went on and continued with the night’s festivities.
As fans watched Brooks and Stanbury’s tension, many felt there must be more to the story. Although we’ve seen Housewives beef about party invites and opinions about one another’s relationships, the drama over Taleen’s privates seems a bit much.
In June 2024, Brooks confirmed that her issues with Stanbury stem beyond her joke about Taleen failing to launch. She shared on X, formerly Twitter, that fans will see more of why she and Stanbury fell out and said Dubai’s production didn’t show the full scope of their beef.
“You are absolutely right!!!” Brooks responded to a fan who asked if something happened between her and Stanbury off-camera. “A lot more happened off camera and a lot more happened on camera. It’s a shame you guys don’t have context but I can show you all receipts and walk you through the chain of events so you can understand everything. HAPPY TO!”
The Glass House CEO also told Decider that there “were a lot of other components” that led to her and Stanbury’s issues, but that her comments about Taleen was “definitely the biggest one.” She also mentioned how she and Sara were loyal to Stanbury during her feud with Ayan. Brooks said Stanbury and Ayan making amends made her “uncomfortable” because her and Ayan fell out over her “loyalty” to Stanbury.
