Kirko Bangz Mourns the Loss of His Son: "You’re in a Better Place and in No More Pain"

Although it has been some time since rapper Kirko Bangz released new music, fans mourned with him when he announced on Instagram on Oct. 8, 2020 that his son died. He shared a photo of himself with his son and what appears to be his girlfriend and added a heartfelt caption about his son finding peace.

But while some of his fans didn't even know he had a child at all, others are wondering what happened. Kirko hadn’t shared any health updates on his son leading up to the tragic news, so it came as a shock to many. But now that the dust has settled and fans are sharing their condolences with the rapper and his family, they are wondering about his son’s cause of death.

Although Kirko didn't give any details surrounding what led to his son’s death in his Instagram post, he did give a few clues in the caption he shared. While he noted that his son is now in a "better place," he also mentioned him no longer being in pain. If that's the case, then his young son might have suffered from an illness the rapper simply hadn’t shared with the public.

"Fly high BIG MAN," Kirko wrote. "We love you so much! We had so much planned that we won’t be able to do now but we know you’re in a better place and in no more pain! Watch over your mom she needs your strength more than ever right now poppa man. I know you don’t hurt no more and I try to make myself think of that to find a little bit of light in this. GOD got you poppa I love you!"

Long before the birth of his son, who appeared to be no more than a year or so old at the time of his death, Kirko dealt with drama from a woman who claimed he was the father of her kid back in 2016. At the time, a woman shared screenshots on Instagram of an alleged text conversation she had with Kirko and claimed he was the father of her child, but that he hadn't owned up to it.

To clap back at the accusations of being a deadbeat dad, Kirko posted Instagram videos denying the woman’s claims. He called her a "catfish" and said that if he truly were a dad, he "would be one hell of a motherf--kin’ father" to his kid. Since then, he apparently settled down and had a child with someone, unbeknownst to some of his fans.

Although Kirko is a public figure and rapper, he has kept parts of his private life, well, private. That includes having a baby, as many of his fans didn't even know he was a dad and he hadn’t shared any Instagram photos of his son until his post announcing his son’s tragic death. Shortly before that, he shared a photo of himself with what appears to be his girlfriend or wife.

But since he didn't tag her, it’s unclear who she is. Regardless, Kirko’s caption said, "My soul in human form" and included a heart emoji and diamond ring emoji. If she’s the mother of his son and his girlfriend or wife, then she’s another part of the rapper’s life he has kept on the down-low, away from prying eyes.
