DC Young Fly Still Mourns the Loss of His Partner Jacky Oh — What Happened to Her?

MTV's DC Young Fly suffered a major loss after the death of his partner, Jacky Oh, in 2023.

The pair, who met as co-stars on Wild N' Out in 2015, had three children together but were not married.

Tragically, Jacky passed away at age 33 following a cosmetic procedure. Here's what we know.

In May 2023, Jacky Oh reportedly died from complications following cosmetic surgery. According to Page Six, it was technically ruled an accident in coroner's reports and documents.

The report indicated that Jacky had "gluteal augmentation procedure," which is more commonly known as buttock augmentation or BBL. It changes the the volume, shape, and contour of the butt.

While there were reportedly no issues during the surgery itself, things went wrong later after she was perscribed Ciprofloxacin, Oxycodone, and Ondansetron during her recovery.

Jacky suffered from a continuous headache and was told by a nurse to take ibuprofen and stop taking the Ondansetron. But her head began to feel like it was "burning" and she started to struggle to even speak. Jacky was found unresponsive by the time paramedics arrived to the scene.

"The autopsy also states that [Jacky] had swelling in her brain and excessive bleeding of the skin around her torso," Page Six further reported.

The outlet also revealed that her surgeon, Zachary “Dr. Zach” Okhah, was previously under immense scrutiny with claims that he “mutilated” patients. The doctor sued two of his patients for defamation, but he later dismissed the suits.

After Jacky's passing, the doctor said in a video statement: “I’m not willing to operate, without exception, if my preoperative protocols for medical clearance are not wholly met."

After Jacky's death, BET said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed."

DC Young Fly and Jacky Oh shared three children — Nova, Nala, and Prince'Nehemiah. After her death, DC Young Fly wrote on Instagram: “You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful You always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family love each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!"

Before her death, she made it known how much she loved being a mother. Jacky wrote on Instagram: "I do a lot. but being a mommy is my favorite 🥹🤞🏽 God chose me 3X 🙏 I promise i never take it for granted. Im so damn blessed man!"

"She was a super great mother, super great mother — super great, great mother,” DC Young Fly told the crowd during her memorial service, as per People.
