Part 3 of the Season 11 Vanderpump Rules reunion aired on Bravo on May 28, and it contains the moment fans had been waiting for. The cast sits on-stage to watch the final moments of the finale where multiple cast members spoke poorly about Ariana Madix and her ex, Tom Sandoval, claimed that she wasn't a good friend to any of them and didn't care about them.
During the final part of the reunion, Sandoval claims that he apologized to Ariana for his affair with Rachel Leviss, while she insists that he didn't say anything to her in private when he had a multitude of ways to do it. It appears there is a bit of a he said/she said, especially since they both have different ideas of what his apology actually was. So, when did Sandoval apologize to Ariana exactly?
When did Tom Sandoval apologize to Ariana Madix on 'Vanderpump Rules'?
During the reunion, Sandoval insists that he apologized to Ariana. But she says he had opportunities to do so without cameras around, including moments in their shared home where they had rare time spent in the same living space, and he failed to acknowledge her to apologize for his months-long affair with their former mutual friend.
Technically speaking, Sandoval did apologize to Ariana. At least, in his way he did. In a long statement he shared on Instagram in March 2023, Sandoval doled out an apology to those he hurt, including Ariana. He wrote, "Most of all, I want to apologize to Ariana. I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly."
But to Ariana, that doesn't seem to count as an actual apology. She has accused Sandoval of using cameras to make himself look better. She also says on Vanderpump Rules that his performative actions don't stack up against what he says and does when cameras aren't around. Sandoval does apologize to Ariana during the reunion, but again, with cameras there to capture every second, it's hardly the apology Ariana had expected for more than a year.
"When I came home from San Francisco, you were sitting there on the f--king couch eating takeout and I was in the kitchen doing something, and by the way that had never happened the whole time we were living together, we didn't really cross paths," Ariana tells Sandoval during the reunion. "Whatever needed to be said in San Francisco could have been said right there in that moment, and wasn't said."
Sandoval and Ariana talk face to face during the third part of the 'Vanderpump Rules' reunion.
There were just a few moments during Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules when Ariana and Sandoval actually spoke directly to each other. But during the reunion, Sandoval faces Ariana to speak to her and urges her to remember who he is. She tearfully says she doesn't know who he is and says she wants him away from her.
It's the first time the former couple has actually come close to talking out what happened after the Season 10 finale, when Ariana stoically told Sandoval she wanted him to die when he asked when he could do for her. But after their emotional confrontation, hopefully Scandoval can be laid to rest.
