WWE Announces Bombshell 2025 Royal Rumble Indianapolis Deal, but When Do Tickets Go on Sale?

When it comes to high-profile WWE pay-per-view events, there are three recurring ones considered the holy trinity of professional sports entertainment: WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and the Royal Rumble.
Occurring at different times of the year, Royal Rumble is usually reserved for the month of January. Because it's such a high-profile event, folks are asking: When do tickets for the 2025 event go on sale?
The Royal Rumble 2025 is going to take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The WWE announced on June 24, 2024, that the Royal Rumble would be headed to Indianapolis, but this time it wouldn't be held in January, but rather Feb. 1 at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
It appears that the wrestling organization, judging from the press release, is going all in on Indianapolis as a performance venue — future Wrestlemania and SummerSlam two-night extravaganzas will also be held at the Lucas Oil stadium following the Royal Rumble performance.
The correspondence, which came straight from the WWE's main offices in Stamford, Conn., and Indianapolis wrote that performances of RAW, SmackDown, and WWE NXT would take place throughout the state of Indiana as well, including Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Evansville.
The press release discussed the potential financial benefits of such a partnership: "WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble have a combined economic impact of more than $300 million, as the events bring hundreds of thousands of people into the host city from all 50 states and dozens of countries throughout the world. To date in 2024, WrestleMania and Royal Rumble set all-time WWE records for viewership, gate, sponsorship, merchandise and social media."
When do Royal Rumble tickets go on sale? 2024's dates may give us a clue.
The WWE is already taking deposits for early access (effectively VIP members) on its website, which you can check out here.
If you're not an early access/priority member, however, there are still opportunities to register for pre-sale of tickets, but you will only gain access to tickets after deposit holders have already staked their claim, according to the site.
Royal Rumble 2024 took place on Jan. 27 (earlier this year). In 2023, the tickets officially went on sale Friday, Oct. 20. If we were to follow this same release schedule, then tickets can officially be made available for purchase Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Again, this is pure speculation on our part based on WWE's previous ticket-selling protocol.
Inside the Ropes pointed out how significant the Indianapolis deal could be — the Lucas Oil stadium is a premier NFL venue that has a seating capacity of 70,000. WWE CCO Triple H called the WWE's deal with the city of Indianapolis the "first of its kind" and "groundbreaking" in an X post with a video created to hype the partnership.
While they were some people who were upset that this is the first time the Royal Rumble was taking place in February ("Rumble in February?" tweeted one fan), others seemed amped, in response to Triple H's post, that the event would be taking place in such a massive venue.
