The Spring 2024 season of anime saw plenty of exciting new anime make their debut, but it also featured several popular shows making some epic comebacks. From the usual suspects like My Hero Academia and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime to long-awaited follow-ups to beloved shows like Black Butler and KonoSuba, there was plenty to catch up on in the world of Japanese animation. Interestingly enough, Demon Slayer arrived later in the middle of the spring season when it returned on May 12.

Adapted from the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, the series follows Tanjiro Kamado, an aspiring Demon Slayer who joins the eponymous organization after his family is slaughtered by demons and his sister is turned into one herself (while being able to retain her humanity). The anime adaptation has been ongoing since 2019 and has received critical acclaim since its premiere, including for its English dub. But as of this writing, fans are still waiting on the dub for Season 4. When will it come out?

The English dub for Season 4 of 'Demon Slayer' seems unfashionably late.

Season 4 of Demon Slayer began simulcasting on Crunchyroll on May 12, 2024. This part of the anime adapts the Hashira Training arc of the manga, in which Tanjiro and his fellow aspiring Demon Slayer recruits undergo a rigorous training regimen in order to prepare for the impending conflict against Muzan Kibutsuji, the most powerful demon in existence. New episodes have premiered every Sunday and the season is expected to end on June 30 with an hour-long special.

Season 4 is already slated as the shortest season of Demon Slayer thus far, with episode counts for reach having slowly decreased with each new season. Yet despite its shortened broadcast, the English dub has yet to receive a release date as of this writing.

Typically, the English dub for Demon Slayer premieres approximately two months after the new season debuts in Japan. Fans expected that Season 4 would follow suit, but it took a while for a release date to be confirmed.

Luckily, we can now confirm that the English dub of Demon Slayer's Hashira Training arc will finally be available on June 30.

On April 8, 2024, Crunchyroll announced that the English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs of the Hashira Training arc would be released "in the future." However, the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs were released on June 9 with no word on the remaining dubs.

Fans of the English dub have voiced their displeasure on various platforms, with some claiming that they would cancel their Crunchyroll subscriptions until the English dub is released.

In previous seasons, the English dub for Demon Slayer often came out a month or two after the Japanese dub. While the dub for Season 4 still has room to follow suit, the single-digit episode count may lead to the season ending before the English dub is even released.

Catch new episodes of Demon Slayer every Sunday on Crunchyroll.
