Brandon Opens Up About His "Friendship" on 'Farmer Wants a Wife' (SPOILERS)

During the Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2 finale, Brandon is the first farmer to make his tough decision. For him, it all comes down to Grace and Emerson. He and Grace developed a strong connection by opening up to each other, whereas Brandon felt an immediate spark with Emerson, though she was a newcomer to the farm halfway through the season.

With that in mind, who does Brandon pick on Farmer Wants a Wife? Prior to the finale, one of his other frontrunners, Joy, took it upon herself to go home, despite the feelings she and Brandon had for each other. It had seemed like Brandon was on the verge of asking her to stay to be one of the final two. Going into his final decision, Brandon had lot to consider. And during the reunion, he and his chosen lady share an update on where they are now.

Brandon tells Emerson that they have a "small town bond," which is important to him. However, when he talks to Grace, Brandon notes their "really good emotional connection." Emerson being a late arrival might not have been the best for her longevity with Brandon, though, since he tells her that because they weren't able to connect on a deeper level, he has to let her go.

On the flip side, this isn't another situation where the farmer picks no one. And Brandon tells Grace, "I really feel like we have established a really good emotional connection. So I would like to see where that emotional connection would take us." In return, Grace says, "You came into my life for a reason." Brandon even tears up, which isn't unusual for him, and his openness might be why he was able to draw the women to him.

One of the biggest issues for Brandon was that he lives in Colorado and Grace lives in Wisconsin. Although he was prepared to see if they can make it work despite the distance, the couple split up after filming ended, and it wasn;t because of the distance. Instead, according to Brandon during the reunion, it was about their relationship being more of a "friendship."

"For me it's become a really strong friendship connection and sadly, that did not really grow into the romantic connection that I was looking for," Brandon explains.

Grace agrees that she felt more strongly for Brandon than he did for her.

"I was always hopeful that it was gonna end in this beautiful happy ending where it works out," Grace says during the reunion. "At the same time, I think we gave it our all."
