Who Is 'Summer House' Season 8 Newbie, Jesse Solomon?

The eighth season of Summer House is already underway and providing excellent entertainment. Several of the OG cast members have returned to the house alongside others from the previous season. However, there are two new additions to the house. First, there is West Wilson, a sports journalist from the Midwest. The other new addition to the Season 8 cast is Jesse Solomon. Jesse also hails from the Midwest. So, who is Jesse Solomon from Summer House?

The Summer House series first premiered in 2017. The premise is fairly simple; the series follows a group of friends who stay in a house during the summer to enjoy themselves in the Hamptons. They all stay at the house from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. Five of the original cast members are still on the series: Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, and Amanda Batula. Various other cast members have come and gone since the series first premiered.

Jesse joined the cast "single and ready to mingle," according to his Summer House bio. Jesse works in investor relations. His presence in the Summer House cast has been a welcome one, at least for the viewers. Both Jesse and his fellow newcomer West have brought levity into the house, albeit in very different ways. Both men make a strong impression on the women of the house, with West seen in a more positive light compared to the ladies' man Jesse.

Jesse came in hot when he first joined everyone in the house. He came in a day late and hit the ground running when it came to being single and mingling. He quickly began flirting, honing in on Ciara Miller almost immediately. His playboy nature is entertaining to watch in its own way. After meeting and hanging out with Jesse, Amanda, and Paige, discuss him during the Fourth of July party. They both compared the new guys, with their favor leaning toward West over Jesse.

After his flirtatious fun with Ciara, Jesse sets his sights on his new target, Paige De Sorbo. The problem with this? Paige is currently in a relationship with Southern Charm star Craig Conover. Paige and Craig met in 2021 at Kyle and Amanda's wedding, and have been together since. Jesse, however, doesn't care about relationship statuses. He openly shares this in a conversation with Kyle after the party, asking, "Am I only supposed to hit on the single girls?"

The fact that Jesse has no qualms about going after women who are already in committed relationships isn't necessarily the greatest look for him. After all, a man who actively chooses to go after a woman who's taken says a lot about their character. Perhaps Jesse feels emboldened by the fact that Paige's boyfriend isn't in the house, meaning that he can pursue her to his heart's content. But, given Paige's thoughts about Jesse, his efforts will be in vain.

For all of his ridiculous efforts to hook up, Jesse does have a deeper side to him. He shared that he has survived cancer twice. He discovered at the age of 24 that he had testicular cancer. He had to have one of his testicles removed, and after the surgery, he was in remission for a year before the cancer came back. He went on chemo, and it took another year before he went back into remission, and he has been healthy ever since.
